I guess you could force it, though I don't know how that would affect the game. Check each folder inside your AddIns folder and you'll see they correlate to the main game folder too, starting from "Dragon Age\Modules\single player\"

Data and Audio folders all match the structure of the DLC folders.

I'm all-but-certain that it won't be under the PROMO directory, as its not a promotional thing... it's a piece of pure DLC that is given to everyone who purchases the game, sold to those who buy the game preowned.

the remaining addons are almost impossible to guess

Thanks i'll try it. Do you think addins.xml or other files would have to be edited to change paths?

Since you'll be hard-merging the DLC files with the main game files (and if you don't overwrite anything critical Razz) then the game should just read them as being stock material, rather than DLC/addins, so you shouldn't need to edit anything.

When I installed all addons from sabin's post, the installer didn't told my anything, just remained like it is installing something. and i closed it, and it seems there is nothing strange with the addons, all works fine.

It doesn't auto-close, it stops to let you view the log and to see if anything went wrong. As long as all DLC say "Installed" in the column, you're good to go Very Happy

Do the items just appear in your inventory after you install it or do you have to find them ingame somewhere? and how do you start the DLC quests?

All this effort is funny since, so far, I've seen no evidence that the actual DLC actually WORKS! If the dialog is in a loop, clearly it doesn't! For all we know, some files need to be decoded by the games engine when detecting your account.

Because the quests dont work. I can accept them, but wont show up in quest log and quest giver will say "i will mark it on map" but no marking is done.

Damn, this game is complex n shit.

I only have played "real-time" RGPs so to speak, like Risen, Witcher, Mass effect and so on.

I haven't gotten to far into the game yet to check myself.
But I would also like confirmation whether or not they actual work after installed.

I can confirm that all "authorized" DLC does not work.
Guess we'll have to wait for a crack.

The auth promo items for example, don't appear in your inventory (easy way to check).

Auth DLC :

Stone Prisoner
Warden's Keep
Memory band
Feral Wolf Charm
Guildmaster's Belt
Dalish Promise Ring

Is there something special needed to get the PROMO-tagged items working? Did everything according to the instructions here (and got the xml JB posted), and they're all enabled in the downloadable content window. Iin-game however only the non-promo stuff (The Edge, Helm of the Deep etc.) show up.

The DA Updater also crashes after installing any one dazip package, no one else had that happening? They seem to work fine, just need to do each one by one.

Edit: Ok I guess Mafste answered that. Smile

3)Embri's many pockets.
4)The Edge.

That's all or someone got some other to work?

You know what? Even if they don't work (....yet Razz) it doesn't matter. It was hella loads of fun trying to figure it out anyway, and they're all minor items to begin with. 'Cept of course the two main DLC packs...

Aye, it's only the five "Authorisation Needed" that apparently don't work. Ah well, someone will figure it out - but it's time I got my ass to bed, heh. It's 9:42am ffs...
