I'm with you. Everything I've seen so far is pretty much a nicer looking MW 1.

Except that when CoD 1 came out, it was something fresh and great.

Oh and Ron, if that was true, they would have released it days ago. Cool Face

Linear campaign with respawning enemies till you get to a certain point then they stop respawning till you get to another point and do the same thing again. Well that's how the first one was..

If this description is really what this game is, then I don't really understand all the hype either...

Care to elaborate?

What I want to know is if this FPS will bring something new to the genre aside from the shoot-reload-shoot-watch scripted cutscene-repeat routine.

Don't get my wrong, the sp campaign in the first one is good and you should definitely at least try MW 2 but I do not like the respawning enemies and linear missions.

It'll be a good game but people spouting "BEST GAMe EVAH" are delirious.

Then I repeat the point I made before: I simply don't understand the hype. Heck, System Shock in 1994 was a LOT more innovative than today's FPSs with scripted cutscenes and awesome bloom. At least it offered something different in the GAMEPLAY.

Well, the hype is for something that is extremely well polished and you know is good from start to finish. Short, true, but a game doesn't have to be long to be good. Besides, the first MW held quite good on the MP portion. This one is only about the SP, so no buy, but still will be good for while it lasts.

Its actually a revised IW engine. And Of course call of duty is gonna be linear, but the realism aspect of the game makes up for it, think of the terrorist airport scene, its suppose to portray the evils and horror side of war, im sure IW has made a really great SP campaign, they always have, it may not be the best i bet its gonna be pretty good in its run.

its more interactive even in cutscenes.....infact theres only one cutscene apart from loading that u dont actually control....

you are completely emerged into the scenarios as a story... as for new graphics are polished more than cod4 nothing amazing the anamations are top notch, physic is convincing... but could be better particle effects are the best iv seen in a game yet.

Ai has aimbot mode on when on harder difficulty lol but as for inteligence id say its lots better that cod 4

Oh well, even Cybermage had interactive cutscenes... in 1995.

In my opinion, that's something every good game should be able to achieve

I'm not saying it's bad graphically, but what I'd like to see are some innovations in the gameplay department and e same old formula repeated again and again but shinier.

Hell, I know that today System Shock 3 would be impossible (Bioshock tried and utterly failed), but i'd like at least some innovations...

Yeah its basicly a highley polished game that continues from cod 4 tbh
But at the same time its still thats award winning title thats been at the top of the charts since its predecessor, you know the saying if its not broke dont fix it!

yeah right enough and on that note* I dont think it was realism it was for Shock and aww

they had to beat the first game, so having somthing shocking probs would do it.
