Hey I too can add a thing to something already created 
I can rewrite star wars and arm the Wookie with awesome battle armour and give him Jedi powers. I'll call him Master Wook and Han Solo, his trusted companion, would be the sloppy, unwanted, unhappy, rebel soldier that was saved from the dark side by master wook. And now, true to his world, Han Solo is helping Master Wook rid the universe off the dark sided people. That’s just episode one!
Episode two is when Han Solo fights his greatest foe! And as he’s about to be defeated Han Solo would remember his dark side training and use his foes powers against him.
Episode three would be all how Master Wook is trying to save Han Solo from the dark forces. And in episode three, the dramatic conclusion, Master Wook and Han Solo fight to the death. Master Wook wins and as the lifeless body of Han Solo is lifted into the air, by some unknown magical force, all the dark forces escape him and his body falls to the ground. Master Obi Wan and That little green guy appear from nowhere and revive Han Solo giving him superhuman abilities.
Then Han Solo and Master Wook fly off and go back to their duties; ridding the universe of the dark forced people.
And I win an Oscar for original script. Hahaha

originally they played this on the radio, and they pretended like it was real. they actually caused quite a few citizens to panic and many, many more believed it was true. the trailer isn't anything special, but i'm very excited with steven speilberg in command of this one

yep, in good old Usa when this was played over the airwaves many people belived it to be true and panic broke out.
The orginal film was a classic, and as long as hollywood doesn't make it another Usa beats the aliens film, and follows the orginal concept with the Red Weed and a good portion of the film being in London.
and remember it was the common germ that killed them all!

Thanks for the tips Injurious. I've seen most of them though. The Battlestar galactica serie has for sure become my favourite. The acting, special effects, mystique. Everything is great.
Something I don't understand about the series is earth. Did the colonists originate from earth to later on forget it like in Nexus: The jupiter incident. Or did they just start there from stage 1? They also have another god named Cobolt (?). Weird...

edit: Check the first post for some pics and a downloadable trailer (large). Btw, I thought this movie was supposed to take plase in the 21st century??

I just love it how you find it worthy to reply to my sarcastic replies. It is ever so wonderful that you’d put your outmost important time aside just to reply to me. You made me feel special and for that I greatly thank you.

Razor, I haven't been seen battlestar for a long long long long long long long long long long time. Only seen few episodes on my sick days from school. I think that the bad guys destroyed their home planet and they are in search of a new one. I’m not sure though I might go and rent the series and watch the first few episodes. Though I think mini series also covered it.
But alas the new mini series appear only on sci-fi. A channel we canucks don’t get. And I can’t download it cause my connection SUCKS.
Oh, and the original book story took place way before 21st
Spielberg modified it to suit the modern times and audiences. It is no longer located in England but in America – New York. The times have changed. The plot is different. The title is the same, I think alien ships will be the same and the story will be similar methinks. We’ll have to wait and see.

Nah, these forums will never get boring. a lot of new postees and such showed up out of nowhere ... Well i'll explain to you the reason presented in the book.
There are no microbes on the aliens home planet, so they have no basis for the creation of a virus. Also they have no immune system.
They are harvesting human blood and tissue and they gorge themselves on it. Apparently there are certain proteins present in the human body which they need. There is some deficiency on their planet which means that their normal source is no longer available. Their aim is to subjugate the human race, and keep us reproducing in farms where they can harvest us.
They also brought some sort of giant weed which grows insanely fast in our atmosphere. I'm not sure if they are going to eat it or maybe it's photosynthetic byproduct will create an atmosphere they prefer.
I'm sure he'll expand on this in the film. Although in the books the humans know hardly anything about the aliens, and fighting them was virtually suicide, although a couple of their tripods were destroyed. They then bust out the chemical weapons and start owning us.

My posts, at times, do get out of hand which could be frustrating to the user/reader. I have flamed a few users, unwillingly of course, through the span of my 400 something odd posts and I wouldn’t want to be the cause of many flame wars that could occur and will initially initiate ( ) a chain reaction of immediate bans. And I as well as other members of this ‘prestigious’ community don’t really want to be banned. I only know of one other place like this except it has orange skies, orange grass and everything else in it is orange. And a place like that doesn’t really suit my need for diversity that ‘this’ community provides. Besides who would want to be a member of a flame war hungry community? I know I don’t, do you?

They do get the humor I just tend to drift out... the placebos used to keep me intact mentally but then it just ended up going what’s the point… they helped me control my self but that was it. I knew they were placebos and I still took them. Deep inside I thought they would help me… the doctor I had insisted that what I had was ‘controlled’ by me and my 'boredom' so he wouldn’t subscribe anything that could actually help me. So I said fuck you… and left… and well I went through the last bottle of placebos this week. So I’ll just post less from now on.
It will keep me out of trouble… and that’s all I really want right now. maybe later when all my 'rl' (real life) problems are sorted out I’ll have a clear head and I’ll be able to post more coherently.
Time will tell. And hey if something doesn’t work out I learned how to tie a noose
