Yuck. I've been playing the rrod release offline for the past few days... I know that doesn't help me when I plug it back in, but for now I am not banned because I've been offline the whole time...
Hopefully I plug back in without issue when I decide to plug back in! You guys aren't giving me much hope though!!

Why not, MS started to do all sort of shit this year they never did before. They are cracking down hard on us this year. So if theres 2000 special editon xbox in circulation and 9000 poeple playing with a special edition game, do the math.
As for this year, MS started to use the "Shoot first, ask later" policy

We don't have live here in dark Africa so I could not give a shit.
I have a silver account on Xbox live to update and that's it and our DSL here is so crap I would be playing with a 500ms ping so I never would even consider playing online.
I just unplug my box if a game is yet to be released and plug the mf'ker back in once the game is released and so far so good.
PS: MW2 is awesome btw would have bought the PC game if the DOOSES at IW gave us dedicated servers here in South Africa ,but I guess they bacame so greedy they said screw the pc players we'll make enough out of the console players to make up for the loss of a couple of thousand pc players that won't buy the game.

well probably logged like 20 hours into the rrod version now. im on 1.6 with activate.iso boot disc. Everything seems fine so far.

no wave4 games pass through abgx atm as its old as shit...
