I don't have freezes when there are a lot of things going on, but sometimes when a skeleton spawns from a broken vase.

Or maybe it's because, perhaps, maybe, just maybe, we're NOT having any problems? Yanno? Cap'n? Very Happy

I noticed a single, solitary, bug in all of 37.5hrs of gameplay so far --- and that is if you feed a shapechange fish to your pet, then send him off to town, he doesn't change back to normal until you quit the game.

What's odd is I tried that just to try it.. He changed back for me. Once he changed back in town but every other time he's always changed back for me. No worries though. With the two golems and the dog I'm doing well.

Well, it's not really when a lot happens, but sometimes when I hurl an area-of-effect spell that damages several foes. Generally the first hit to a group.

Just something odd/amusing I saw when checking to see if a patch had been deployed for Torchlight;

That happens with most games. Same with Zombie Panic. I think that the developer has to maintain some HTML code for the update page Smile

There's something weird about that date too, seems it might just be a placeholder date for ANY kind of update. Checking online (I'm curious like that...) and it seems "December 31, 1969" is everywhere Very Happy

Such a fun game.

enjoying the different scenery each few floors;
graphics are cute and it plays smoothly, fast loading also;
pet going to vendor with your crap items is uber;
and being able to fish once a while is kinda relaxing lol.

Normally these games bore me quickly, but I keep starting this game to do a few more floors or do some side quest stuff.

Greets.

Aye, I believe you're right. It's too constant to be a fluke.

You can see a nice explanation about it here...

So after a couple of days, how is the game? What I saw of it seemed very monotone and generic, though I didn't play much since DA got released.

Still brilliant, bud. I can't see TOO much replayability in it.. simply because once you finish the main story, there's no further quests.. just an endless delve into the dungeon. Hopefully the SDK will be out soon, bringing some new quests with it.

My guess is it's related to unix time starting at January 1, 1970.

edit: Guess I should have read the rest of the posts first

+1

I just wish they had implemented a simple P2P MP option so I could play it coop like I did a few months ago with D2 Sad

Stupid decision to bring out an MMO part in 18 months when D3 will have our attention probably

This game is really boring...
Running around the same dungeons is queer...

Why doesnt any gaming company makes a "remake" of Daggerfall ???
Something worth while ???

So tired of ReMakes of the same games, I mean Diablow was as good as it got, now its just the same... Sad

UPDATE 2:33PM 11/05/09 -
The un-wrapped build has been approved. We've done our initial tests on the demo build as well ( we make a 2-minute demo version to test with ) since this release on our site will actually be demoable for 2 hours ( instead of purchase only ).
The 'real' demo build is compiling right now, and will be followed by the Steam and Perfect World builds.
Once we've verified our demo build, we'll have a quick meeting to see if we can pull the trigger on the patch today or not - I will keep you posted.
Once that's approved, we'll put up our build, and give builds to partners. We'll see how it goes!
Please note that just because we give our partners a build doesn't mean it goes live for them immediately - they have their own process to go through to get things live, so patches will NOT be available on all partners simultaneously.

This is a FULL REINSTALL. The packaged files for the patch changed entirely to improve loading times, so a full reinstall is necessary.
If you are patching, you'll need to uninstall your previous version.

BACK UP YOUR SAVE GAMES! Your uninstaller may ask you if you want to delete your save games. Make sure that it is UN CHECKED!

That's why, I guess. It's a full client :-\

THAT'S NOT FUCKING FAIR! Just because a bunch of fucking WoW-loving basement dwellers pissed and moaned about it, that means Runic has to go and fucking spoil everything for the rest of us!?

Fuck you Runic. You see if I buy another of your games again.

Sorry

You can just tune it back to the old ways in the globals.dat...
Personally I like it, means loot is more valuable and thus more fun.

I've already lost a ton of enchantments, high level stuff, so I'm not exactly relishing losing more -- and they're MORE than expensive enough ... yet they're increasing the cost now? That's just fucked up! It's not an online game, so I don't why people are pissing and whining like little bitches over it. Don't like it? Don't use it. Go spend five hours grinding for the seventh item in your "ePenis Lord" set, but leave me the fuck alone with my enchantments.

Haven't really used it myself but what I saw here it looked OP, no matter how you look at it.
As I said tho, it seems it's easily fixable by backing up the correct settings in your globals.dat.

What the fuck are you blabbering about? I have never cheated at this game - and my pet's GRAPHIC didn't change back! His stats always went back to standard Cat stats, but he stayed LOOKING like a spider - which was all I wanted.

That should give you something to do Sabin, there's also mods that alter the success/fail rate of enhancements, unsure about price scaling but that's moddable too, same with filling the dungeons with champion mobs and hope you survive long enough to find something to fight with. Razz
