You can buy more than one backpack, costly I know - but each gives you an additional 10 slots, and of course; the storage chest from the Warden's Keep DLC.

Install Instructions.

Quote:

  • Download all .dazip files and place them in a random folder somewhere you can remember, like on the desktop.
  • Load up DAupdater.exe, found in "Dragon Age\bin_ship"
  • Click "Select DAZips"
  • Browse to the folder and CTRL-A or CTRL-Click on all of them.
  • CTRL-Click on all in the list.
  • Click "Install Selected"

Now you have to browse to your Settings folder, usually located here;

Code:

C:\Users\NAME\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\Settings

Open AddIns.xml in Notepad and search for "auth" -- change all occurrences of 1 to 0. Save, exit, launch Dragon Age and check the Downloadable Content tab to see that they're installed.

Don't understand, when i download them they are zip files not dazip.

Ive not read this and not checking posts further back in this huge thread but incase anyone missed something here is a little insight to items when added with dlc etc etc, come on friday im sick of waiting now Very Happy

Pre-Order Items
Hey guys, just figured I should make a quick thread about a few of the pre-order items. Let's start with something pretty much everybody has, Blood Dragon Armor. Now, some you may have noticed the item "Blood Dragon Plate" appear in your inventory. And you're probably wondering why the armor is only a 1-piece set. Well, it's not. The whole set is 4 pieces, chest, (in your inventory once you redeem it) gloves, boots, and helmet. So at this point, you're probably wondering how you get the rest of armor. Well, thats easy, you need to save a Dwarven merchant by the name of Bohdan Feddic in the town of Lothering. Once you do, and continue your quest, you'll appear in an area called "Camp". Bohdan will have followed you here. At this point, you can speak with Bohdan to buy the remaining pieces of the Blood Dragon Armor, and Bergen's Honor/Final Reason. Also, you can speak to Bohdan's son, who is named Sandal, to put enchantments on your weapons. Read the next section below for quicklists, the quicklists provide basic descriptions of where the item is, and how to get it. The quicklist now includes item prices.

Pre-Order Items Quicklist -
1. Blood Dragon Armor (Chest) - In your inventory(Buying Price: Free)
2. Blood Dragon Armor (Helmet) - Buy it at your campsite (Buying Price: 2 gold 55 silver)
3. Blood Dragon Armor (Gloves) - Buy it at your campsite (Buying Price: 2 gold 55 silver)
4. Blood Dragon Armor (Boots) - Buy it at your campsite (Buying Price: 2 gold 55 silver)
5. Wicked Oath - In your inventory (Buying Price: Free)
6. Memory Band - In your inventory (Buying Price: Free
7. Bergen's Honor - Buy it at your campsite (Buying Price: 2 gold, 26 silver, 25 copper)
8. Final Reason - Buy it at your campsite (Buying Price: ???)
9. Grimoire of the Frozen Wastes - In your inventory (Buying Price: Free)
OTHER DLC QUICKLIST
(Stone Prisoner)
1. Shale - Talk with the merchant in the Pass, he'll give you a control rod, then go to the town he marks on your map, and get the proper activation phrase for Shale. Then activate Shale.
(Warden's Keep)
1. Warden Commander Armor - Kill the merchant's possessed great grandmother, named Slyvia, then loot the armor from her corpse.

Bit of a bug but that merchants inventory respawns so you can outfit everyone with Dragon armor aside from the main chest piece which you get directly. Smile
(All other items respawn as well like backpacks and runes should they be needed, backpacks are quite useful and so is the available tomes to earn more skillpoints.)

Using the Warden armor from the Keep though as it's better, no helmet though but that I fixed in Honnleath (Shale).

EDIT: That said it will be fun to do the alternate paths of those DLC.

Also of note for those planning to buy it. I found that if you buy and activate the digital version, inc. DLC that comes with it, the authed DLC stop working if you use the patcher to install the free DLC. Removing the DLC installed with the patcher opens up the authyed DLC again.

Ok so I grabbed Warden's Keep, Stone Prisoner and Blood Armor from the links in Sabin's sig (thanks!). I also fiddled with a couple settings in the addins.xml. How do you know if they are activated properly?

Wardens Keep - I now have a quest under a downloaded content tab in my log.
Dragon Armor - Just appears
Stone Prisoner - ???

I don't have anything for Stone Keeper, I heard ppl mention an npc gives you a quest to get going. But is there a quest given which will lead you to that npc? Just like I have one for warden which is pointing me in the direction of the start npc.

Thanks

Hope for some DOX release in the meanwhile, it can't be that hard if you can use the auth DLC offline.

Never say never.

My Wardens Keep seems to be working (the quest was given), but I'll know once I actually get to the npc. For all I know he's just going to give the "wanna buy a dlc" line.

I'm just asking for those who did buy them at what point was it clear they had activated successfully?

How many skill points can you learn/use from tomes? If they keep respawning isn't that a big bug if you can just buy/use them all the time when they respawn?

They cost 30 G to purchase though but only give one point each but they do respawn.
(Perhaps all shop keepers respawn when you re-visit a area, haven't had to do that yet however but I'm not very far in the game in terms of progress.)

EDIT: To camp visit the camp map location, in the corner of the world map.
