Yeah, no major difference. Well, one thing is for sure, I'm not buying a new hardware until DX12 or DX13 gfx cards comes out! Very Happy

It's part of the game as mentioned, if you have a DX11 capable GPU you'll see that render mode under the list.
(Part of "xrRender_R4.dll", won't be loaded unless you have a DX11 GPU, you can also set the user.ltx file manually by setting "renderer" from renderer_r3 to renderer_r4 and for tesselation, which might not work until the next patch, set r4_enable_tesselation from off to on, shadow effects and optimizations will still be used from what I know.)

EDIT: And about 4.7 GB against 2.5 GB are you sure the 4.7 GB isn't the full star-force ISO as that protection method fills the entire disc whereas Trivium or whoever released the cracked version (They did the crack.) only contains the game data which is 2.6 or so GB when fully installed. Smile

Guess there are still people out there that have no idea what tessellation actually is. Hint: it's not about textures.

If you want to see what Tessellation actually does, check out the newly released DX11 benchmark (or clips of it if you don't have DX11-hardware) by Unigine.

I did all the things in ini file, still no DX11 option in the menu, I bought my 5870 several days ago, run the AMD two DX11 demo without any problem.

4.7GB is a clone, so I firstly installed clear sky and installed all the patch, then install the clone, then use the crack from Trivium, you mean the crack has the problem ?

So you can't select the DX11 option ingame and it crashes if you try to force it by modifying the user.ltx file directly?

Odd, perhaps wait for the 1.01 update although that wouldn't explain why some people have DX11 showing up in the ingame options already.

Can't think of much esle, also this is minor but your game folder contains "illegal" characters (Russian letters not drawing correctly due to your OS language support.) which isn't ideal.

seems someone signed NDA with AMD know how to enable DX11 mode in the Russian version.

The point is that you can use a lower poly mesh and make it look as good as a higher poly without calculating and rendering the extra triangles = speed up.

Of course you can use bump mapping techniques to do the same thing, but under certain angles it looks weird and since it's not actual geometry AF doesn't work properly.

Alternatively instead of replacing slightly higher polly meshes with lower poly tesselated ones, you can needlesly tesselate the f*ck out of every object on screen as that dx11 benchmark and enjoy seeing your framerate half. Surprised


And then like you peoples were all like, "YOU IS TROLLIN!" and I was like "I AM NOT TROLLING!! I AM guess_who_kthxbai YOU SEE! Mm!"

now I can enable DX11 option and tessellation ,but still can not enable Contact harden shadow which is one of DX11 feature or function as Driverheaven did in their OCP articles.

winrar doesnt recognizes the compression and 7zip only extracts 200kb ?? Sad and there is no extraction in my temp folder like regular installers do

anyone know what version the german version is ? Guess it doesnt include the latest russian patch features yet ?

or maybe we can combine russian version with the german speech/translation files somehow ? Smile

I always find it funny how a game gets released in Germany, by a non-German developer (GSC Game World, by the way, not Bandai-Namco Razz) before it gets an English release. How the hell does THAT happen? Laughing

The English release as far as I know it was witheld to avoid competition from bigger titles, unsure about the German edition but they're a pretty big PC market as far as I've read so it might profit. Smile

Now to find this release (It should be up-to-date as far as I know.) and transfer the translation and Russian voices.
(I don't know either language all that well but they'll fit better than the German ones.)
