Hopefully a release like this wont have some uber Nintendo anti piracy measures or requires an update that prevents back ups running lol.

I heard the game has some kind of protection on it, but the real reason its not working is because of a bad rip. It was not dumped properly. I would expect a real scene release and proper dump would have it working. Just patch out whatever security it has and thats it. Maybe another day or two for real release from scene.

Only saw some torrents floating around.
Also, apparently some people got it working through the Wii emulator, once my download finishes I'll check it out. ;p
Unfortunately running it through the emu has messed up sound and slight slowdown, otherwise playable.
EDIT: Well, I almost had it working on the emulator... was using ws_nsmb_pal_multi5, but froze up during opening scene.

I might buy this one... There are some games that I feel like I should pick up every once in a while. I also really don't feel like the headaches of getting it to work if it doesn't right away.

Well I ended up burning the image to a DVD and checking it out that way, since my Wii has ye olde WiiKey v1 in it.
Game is fun, can't wait to check it out with 4 people, feels and plays exactly like NSMB for DS awhile back.
Only tested level 1-1 before it crashed on me though, some dude over at gbatemp is having success reloading save games frmo his SD card or something, so if I get desperate enough to continue, I guess I might try that method later.
Game should be a winner though!

I have successfully used WIIScrubber (I think), and I have a WiiKey. HOWEVER, this bit makes no sense to me:
Download and Install IOS60, IOS53, IOS70 with the trucha patch. Use DOP-IOS for this.
What is meant by that?

DOP-IOS is a bit of homebrew to download different IOSs.
I'm hoping you have the homebrew channel installed? ;p |
