I have patched some games from wave 4 to wave3. If i use those patched games on a drive with Iextreme 1.61. Will those games still work?

Well it looks like I made a terrible mistake by flashing my new elite. I flashed the elite and sold my old banned 20GB launch console for 120 euros. I should have kept that for offline play and kept the elite stock for LIVE. So actually, I made 2 mistakes.
I've got a feeling that the waves will keep on coming this time but hopefully I'm wrong and the ban wave passes as it has in previous years.

Yup, having your console banned is pretty horrible. It's much, much better to "ban" it yourself (never connect to Live any more), that way you will still have a fully functioning console and will be able to move HDD back and forth between other unbanned consoles.

hmm i havent played on the console after it was banned, so the achievements are good!
But what if transfer the data from the old drive to the new drive?
Will it be corrupted then?

I've had a thought for some time now, that maybe it's not the firmware that is detectable but a change in firmware that is detectable.
I've flashed 4 boxes and not one of those has been banned, but i've never upgraded the firmware from say 1.4 to 1.5 ect.. granted that two of those boxes have not seen xblive since wave3 games but they have been through several ban waves in the past.
I've also played games before store release and still no ban, probably horse shit but hey it's a thought!!
I'm currently on liteon with 1.6 and no ban so far fingers xxxxx

My guess has somethign to do with HOW it was flashed... I used a connectivity kit, so power source came from my PC and everything... other than that I'm really stumped.

I too used a connectivity kit for 1.6. but in the past i used dos to flash my boxes.. has anyone in the UK been banned yet?
