Yes it is. This is what I did:

1. Use Phoenix 1.2 Final
2. Go to Instruments -> Update ContentDescriptionRecord - Internet
3. Then Instruments -> SID Unpacker
4. There: Scan a SIM File -> Locate your DVD (Mounted CD1/ Disk1.iso):

"scan a SIM-file", You´ll find modernwarfare2 content.gcf
modernwarfare2English.gcf


5. "Select all" and after that select "Unpack"
6. Choose your directory and extract

It will ask cd2 after a while. After it has finished, copy over SKiDROWS content ("Crack-folder"). Then you can play.

And sorry for any misspells and shit. English isnt my native lanquage, obviously.

Well, i didn't
I used the program Phoenix 1.2 to manually install the game. So you can bypass Steam. Copy SkidRows crack and you ready to go!

Dont know if it has been asked b4 (probably has, pardon the noobish qst)
I have ordered it via steam but you have to wait 2 days, but if i download one of these releases and play a bit of single player, can I then reuse these imagest i have downloaded when available via steam without having to re-download them again?

Hmm...what anoy me is that when I play a private game with my mates using password - we get no exp at all. This is incredible anoying as I dont want to play on a public server with people I don't know.

shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

so i installed the game with brother's retail disk, and the loader, nice i can play sp, but how can I join him for deathmatch in lan? No possible at all?

Gameplay is nice ofcourse.

As of now the only way for MP is to buy the game. Maybe some hack or something will be available later, who knows.

Completed single player campaign earlier. Was a bit disappointed with the cliffhanger ending but apart from that, it was a pretty good game. Multiplayer is really good (PS3). The whole feeling of it seems to be a lot more refined than COD4. GOTY for sure.
