I finally got mine patched a short while ago, all in all it took 16.2GB on my C drive before finishing and jumping back to normal. I've not tried the game yet, will do shortly. Game install itself jumped 3.4GB after the patch.
It's now 28.4GB installed.

Wow... I take it back.. >_< While the 30fps cap is still in place (which is incredibly stupid, as the framerate goes back up to 60fps during menus and cutscenes) the overall feel of the game is massively improved. It's smoother and more responsive. Loading times "feel" a little faster too, though that could just be a placebo.
Oh and for low-end PCs? there's now an option for "High Detail" that you can toggle on/off in the Launcher.

I gave the game another try after applying the patch and at end of the first level where you fight the jedi, the guy just dissapeared from the map, kinda of swallowed by earth lol. Couldn´t do anything since the camera was fixed on him. What´s even more funny is that the guy´s life bar was empty.

I found a way around the problem with patch needing 16 gb of temporary space, it's a little annoying but WAY better than being forced to free up that much space.
start the patch (remember to patch the original .exe file) and go to the c:\documents and settings\username\temp folder and find the folder called something like vg984.
That's the folder containing all the temp files that the patch stores there, now simply delete the files as they get written to the folder while the patch is running (make sure not to delete the file that the patch is currently processing), keep watching the folder while the patch is doing it's stuff and delete some files when they begin to take up to much space, rinse repeat until patch is done.
This is really a shitjob done by Aspyr as all these files isn't even temporary, what the patch is really doing is making a backup of your game installation so it can make a rollback if something goes wrong during installation which is so dumb because IF something goes wrong during patch installation we can always reinstall the entire game and continued playing as save games aren't touched.
So way to go Asspyr!! You can fix gamebugs, but you can't even make a normal patch installer that doesn't eat up almost 20 gigs of harddrive!!
And now that the game is patched, it's grown 3 gigs in hd space so I'll bet there is a lot of junk in the game folder now since a 400mb patch couldn't possibly grow the game that much...Or could it?

So, now we have two releases:
Star.Wars.The.Force.Unleashed.Ultimate.Sith.Edition.Update.1.1-ViTALiTY
And
Star.Wars.The.Force.Unleashed.Patch.v1.1.Cracked-BAT
So, does anyone know what's the difference?

So from what I understand u need 16 GB of free space on the C: main system partion? Or do you need the free space on your game partition?
Sorry for asking but I don't get why the heck they would need so much space on the game partition since all the processing is being moved the a temp system folder...

Thanks sabin...I usually keep a big C: partition so I have enough space. Learned from experience I guess.
Gonna reinstall it after I finish Dragon Age and got some time on my hands...
