Just finished the game -- and it was absolutely fantastic! BioWare have crafted nothing short of an epic, the absolute epitome of masterpiece! 65hrs of glorious awesomeness In my honest opinion, this is - and was - BioWare's greatest accomplishment. The game was truly spectacular, from start to glorious finish.
Definitely worthy of the paltry £17 I just spent on buying it (along with the £15 I already paid for the DLC)
Final Character/Party stats;
Spoiler:
Every single possible quest, for my Origin, with the exception of one; Shale's story quest. I didn't have chance to start that, let alone finish it, because my DLC crapped out and corrupted on me. Gah.
I didn't miss any areas (Once I started the fight with the Archdemon, I got an achievement for "Step foot in every area in the game") - I'm honestly not sure why it's only showing 97%
Hmm. I finished the game in just under 32 hours, and that includes the vast majority of the little side quests (except for the few that conflicted with my goody two shoe character's morality). I have no idea how some of you managed over 70.

Lol I have 40 hours and only beginning, completed only the Mage Tower so far. You rushing guys need to understand that DA:O is an RPG, there's tons of things to read and learn, this is not an action game.

I have no idea how You did it under 40h . I'm near the end, currently finishing my last treaty quest and i'm at 57.5h . Even minus around an hour of afk, when i left da on paused while cooking, it still is around 56-57 hours and still not really done.

Pffffft. Same as that other guy who said he did everything and managed it in 20hrs, right?

Eh? Are we to have a pissing contest over how long one can spend in game? I DID do most of the quests. I only avoided the quests that were aimed at shady characters. I explored every area and got the Traveler trophy at the end. Granted, I didn't read ALL of the little notes and I used subtitles so I could skip through some of the duller conversations.

Same, playing as a Mage. Going to specialize in Blood Magic once I get to Redcliffe. Playing a villainous character is awesome! Aleister's reaction when I randomly insult and kill people is priceless.

Thanks, are these real keys? Or are they selling keys they get from a keygen or something. i.e. do they sell me an individual key I can use for multilayer?
Can anyone give me a hint on where to put my attributes from leveling up?
i'm a human mage but theres too many things i'm not sure of =/
mass effect was way simpler than this =D
I don't know guys... i must be doing something really bad or I just simply suck...
I play on normal and I find difficulty not-normal....
My party:
1 - my char - dual wielding fighter, max STR and some AGI. to buy skills, few points in CON,
2 - Aistair - tank, most of points in CON and some in STR,
3 - Leliana - becouse of song of Valor, and I don't have 2nd mage so...she's got bow and maxing AGI and some str for bow,
4 - Morr-Hot - Igan - maxed INT (or whatever it is called) for spellpower, and few in mana pool.
And everytime I got random encouter I got my ass wiped. Chars got around 10lvl and in Denerim for example I meet ~8 archers at both sides of the road and another 8 fighters...
How the f* I am supposed to work this out ? Pulling don't give too much...
I've finished most of cRPGs, but this one gives me headache...I was going to make 2nd game with rogue, but as long as I can't get thru with 2 fighters, this may not be good idea.
Any ideas?

I took 69 hours Never skipped any dialogue and I did a lot of back tracking to make sure I didn't miss anything (I'm kind of OCD when it comes to that)
It's not often a great RPG like this comes along, kinda of dumb to blow through it as fast as possible.

Mage CC and AOE is really the easiest solution, a cone of cold here, mass paralysis there, grease.. suddenly things are a lot more managable. If you haven't specced Morrigan for the right spells, your only option is to make the best use of your stuns and make sure you set up your combat tactics to "assist train", have your DPS attack 'target of main character' and mobs will drop a lot faster than with everyone beating on random targets. Rush the mages, then kite the melee around for a bit if necessary while taking out archers.

No, but whenever someone claims something that is completely opposite and contrary to established fact, it gives one pause for concern. Too many people are MAKING this a pissing contest by trying to give themselves a reason to slate BioWare and call them "liars" over their claims of play-length, or make themselves seem better than everyone else because they "finished it faster"
BioWare claim at least 40hrs for a "quick run" and 60+ for a complete experience -- I, and countless others, have corroborated that .. so you gotta admit; it's a bit suspect when someone comes along and posts "LOLZ! They lied, I did the game in 20hrs with everything!!111" when it's patently bullshit

sabin: 97% is probably due to not completing all the friendly NPC-subquests I would reckon.
Could be, thanks mate. I was beyond gutted (I think ya'll might remember my pissing rant about it.. ) when my DLC corrupted as I not only lost access to my shared stash and a ton of weapons/items/armour pieces, but also almost complete access to Shale too. I could have him in my party, I could equip him, but I couldn't converse with him or do his story quest.
I'm guessing that missing 3% is referring to his quest line - as well as miscellaneous stuff from alternate Origins stories. I know I missed a fair few codex entries .. and believe me; I scoured this world from top to bottom, never leaving a stone unturned.
I've found altar with water and cup hidden within, and I made ritual with it. But further there is 2nd stand and it says : you can put something on it. I have cup with water but nothing happens..., i don't have choice to use it

What resolution are you guys playing on? I am playing at 1920x1080 and can barely read the fonts. I cant find a tweak anywhere to change it either. I upped the res to see the fonts but i really hate not playing with my monitors native resolution.
Anyone know how/what is the attack score for an arcane warrior? I know spellpower is supposed to determine the damage, and magic is supposed to substitute for strength requirements, but nowhere does it say what the attack score is.
I have an arcane warrior with 45 magic and 55 spellpower using a two-handed sword, but he misses so often when attacking an orange colored enemy that it is a complete joke. Seems that since magic stave attacks never miss a target unless blocked, it makes no sense at all to have an arcane warrior use a melee weapon if they constantly miss their target.
Anyone tried and beat her without a healer? I killed that stupid hag Wynne, and obviously I can't use Morrigan for the fight who usually does the healing (my mage is all about the dps, baby!).
It may have already been posted but I just came across this mod which allows you to respec your characters! Very useful for changing auto-leveled allies. I've just turned Oghren into a Champion tank, and Morrigan into a fully fledged healer.
