Question
didn't even bother to read this thread but now i wanna start play it...whats all the fuzz about the dlc's here? how do they work? each dlc is an item in game?
explain it to me plz..from where do i start? also i heard there is a new patch...what is the order to install dragon with all the dlc's?

Yeah i beat the game on normal using a dual wielding arcane warrior. He makes a really good tank because with fade shroud and shimmering shield you don't get hit at all + you can use all those disabling/debuff spells + i invested some points in dexterity so i never had any problems hitting stuff. The damage spells are kinda gay in this game anyway. So i got mostly the disabling/debuff + some buffs, mana leech, heals etc. You can combine it with blood magic to overcome the stamina penalty easily. I guess a Spirit Healer/Arcane warrior would work as well but would require a lot of mana.

Most DLC's are simply items. they are partially good, somne more , some less, but none of them will really make a difference for you ingame.
Then there are 2 DLC's (Stone prisoner and Warden's Keep)
 Spoiler: | First is a little village with little quests and eventually you get a new companion (Shale the Golem) which is a VERY nice addition to your team (uses one of the 3 slots of course).
Second is a Keep in the mountains, with some Warden (thats your Order) Backstory etc. It has nice items (loot, some static) and in the End , grants you the Castle (alltho once finished, you cant enter anymore lol) but you get new merchant outside, storage etc. |
neither of the DLC's is in anyway required for the maingame and quite frankly not playing them won't make any difference, but it adds some fun sidestories and some more background info.

I started on hard, got to level 10 or so and decided to see how well my arcane warrior would fight with a 2-handed sword. I attacked a revenant (pretty tough orange colored undead) and my arcane warrior missed about 2/3 of the time. it was funny watching him swing that big sword and see MISS, then long break, another swing, and MISS. I chose 2-handed weapon because there is supposed an attack penalty for dual wielding, but apparently that made no difference.

There are some cool spell effect combinations. If you cast forcefield and then crushing prison (did this once, it might be crushing prison and then forcefield, or the order may not matter any) on the same target, a shockwave will erupt from that target and damage all enemies near that target. The two spells nullify each other or some stuff.

A green hp bar with name doesn't appear anymore above my main character after death and reload, when I press tab.
All other party memebers have it still. Even started a new game with another character to test if it will appear on him, it didn't.
Did anybody encountered this? My game is v1.0

He uses some shit on me right form the start that weakens my attack and defense I believe, then starts throwing magic like crazy, that freeze shit that disables 3/4 of my party, every time I do some damage he trows 'drain life' wtf motherfuckin' leech!

I told you: you only need the journal entry's instructions. If you know where the fourth circle is, you're set.
