No, it's you that can't stand criticism of your beloved game, and go to insults.

Omg, the major difference is that you are able to choose a server with a decent ping. You just don't get it. You can't do that with SHITnet.

how is the date accounted for when sending keys from g2play? according to where the site is located or according to some universtal standard in eu?

Thats the big question, Ive tried to contact them a couple of times.
But I always get the same copy-paste reply from them, the same that is on their mainpage.
Quote:
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 UNCUT VERSION Steam Key Pre-Order available! We should get the key until 12th of November (within 48 hours). Unfortunatley the digital release of CoD6 is not available until 12th (unlike the boxed version - which is available now but for much higher price). Activate and dowload the FULL UNCUT VERSION via Steam no CD needed!

But from what Ive read here from other users, G2play is a legit business. And they always send their keys.
I only think its frustrating, that there is no update whatsoever on when we can expect our keys.

i am not fussed whether they will send it or not, just when. if any1 has bought sth from them in the past please drop a line

They are launching a massive new thing for their game

wait, what now ?

you mean, "IWNet" aka matchmaking is new ? Reality check, its not. Ded. servers or not, most (if not all lol) games in the past had that (and it hardly ever worked or was worth a damn) called things like "Quick Play" etc. Its the same damn thing, it finds a server for you based on criterias THEY think are good for YOU. Guess what, it never worked and i doubt anyone ever used that stuff for more than a couple tries.

New ? heck, from the looks of it, they simply copy pasted Relics matchmaking system (heck, they got the same red/orange/green bars in their games lol)

And like said many many many times before, how can you defend the ABSENCE of stuff like ded. server support, console (which includes changing fov and others) recording a demo, votes (kick, map etc) , admin rights for host (to some degree, would be nul with ded servers.)

it is against any logic i know, how you can be so OBLIVIOUS to all this and yet keep a straight face and tell us how we bitch and troll and what not ...

Seriously ?

He doesn't get it because he hasn't played a PC game in 4 years (or maybe more), yet he seems to think he has the right to forbid us to criticize this game.

All the keys I've bought from G2Play have been delivered within 24hrs, usually no more than 4-6, though I've had a couple come in at 12hrs or so.

Man... This topic is really making me realize that must of the "Piracy Talk" of the members here is simple bullshit. Rolling Eyes

Dragon Age is a truly exceptional game and yet very full people have bought it (and a LOT of people are admitting it that it is indeed a fantastic image, but not buying it).

And this one just gave the finger to the PC community, but used a protection that effectively block a portion of the game to the pirates... So we have a lot of people forgetting what they often preach to others and buying the game.

So it seems that strong DRM IS the way to fight piracy... Not good games, good suport, features for PC and other people that people often quote as being their reason to play pirate games. Sad but true (proved to me by this topic).

(Don't get me wrong. I'm a strong pirate. If I wasn't I would not be posting here. But I still believe in buying good games to support devs).

This game might actually be the best thing since sliced bread, I wouldn't know. I've not played it.
And so the following remark shouldn't be seen as a general criticism of the game.
But theres a saying "40 billion flies think shit is the tastiest thing in the world, that doesn't make it anything else than what it is though."

Point being that everybody have personal tastes of what is good and what isn't and individual rights to opinions should be respected in this forum.

As it is a forum, everybody is entitled to their say, except if they're only here to troll.

Moderators shouldn't force opinions on people, nor say what opinion is right or wrong, only ask that the discussion follow the given topic, and moderate the discussion within the forums set rules.
And remember moderators are human too, so they might have opinions as well, even some extreme opinions of a given topic.

I don't have to play the PC version to know that it'll have FAR more issues than MW1 ever had thanks to this shit. If the host at least had some control over the server in terms of being able to kick/ban, then I could see it having a chance. But not now. I meet so many retards while playing FPS games online, happens every other day or so when played Team Fortress 2 for example, and they get kicked (and eventually banned if they won't stop) because the servers I play on have fair and good admins. They only kick/ban for good reasons. With MW2 they can't do that. With MW1 they can.

2) Shit ton of people play and love it, mostly casual.
3) IW announces sequel to *see above*. Casuals jizz their pants.
4) IW starts releasing information on changes made to their game.
5) I don't know how to fix this. Just because it's on the consoles doesn't mean the changes should be on the PC. We have options on the PC, we're not limited to PSN and Xbox Live (50$ for an vastly inferior online system - *pokes with a very large stick*)
6) People who aren't acting 7 realize what's really going on and don't give a shit. Is that the part where they don't mind that IWnet is basically a conduit trough which Activision and their slave studio, IW, shove DLCs and map packs down their throats?
7) Small remaining ignorant population of PC players continue bitching a shit storm about changes that barely affect them. Yeah, PC gamers are ignorant. Read the transcript? NOW THAT IS IGNORANT. I pity IW, but can't blame them. Activision needs more money or it's going to eat itself alive. They do have a commitment to their share holders...
8.) Game comes out and is a massive success anyways. Casual crowd gets hyped into buying it. After all, they need a fix every year. I'm pretty sure a lot of them will buy CoD12 as well.

2015 (pronounced Twenty Fifteen) is a video game developer founded in 1997 by its President and CEO, Tom Kudirka. Currently, 2015 is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. 2015 is perhaps most famous for the development of the highly successful PC game Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. Some members of this company later went on to form Infinity Ward, lead developer of the Call of Duty franchise.

Source Wikipedia

i did NOT know that lol. kinda surprising

Infinity Ward, located in Encino, California, is an American video game developer founded in 2002 by 22 former employees of 2015, Inc., including the project leads who had worked on Medal of Honor: Allied Assault.

Funny I never said the game was perfect. See how you guys operate? Let's make up things that sTo0z never said, then use it for our own argument.

iNatan, it's just sad. I'm disagreeing with people on very specific points, but you like to insert that I'm hating someone because he disliked my perfect game, how pathetic is that dude?

Also having to pretend that I haven;t played a PC game in 4 years, right, like you can actually know that. See, all you can do is fluff your opinion with bullshit to try and make any sense whatsoever.

@Yondaime
Yah, don't eat shit, the difference here is that dedicated vs. matchmaking are both viable solutions for PC gaming. Whereas eating shit is not a viable solution for food consumption, so your argument makes no sense.

Whoa whoa whoa... sorry, I'm going to have to step in here; match-making is NOT a viable solution. It never has been, never will be, and anyone who says it is; is seriously deluded. I can't think of a single game where match-making has been beneficial .. and certainly not on the PC.

SF4: Every tried that? The match-making, quite simply, destroys that game.
Red Faction: Uhh.. yeah, nice. I've yet to play a proper game of that on the PC yet due to shitty latency and "host has left the game, oops, pause for 5 minutes while we... oh, sorry, let's just kick him back to lobby"
Dawn of War 2: Yeah, spending the entire match lagging to fuck was EPIC FUN!!11

See, unlike the rest of the bitching in this thread - in less than a day I'll actually OWN this game and I'll be playing it online. If it runs great, I'll say so. If it runs like shit, I'll say so.

I don't know that, but the way you respond about dedicated servers, it's fishy.

But you calling me ignorant because I don't like "specific points" is something I take as insult, yes, and a mod should not be doing that. I do not hate you, I'd assume you knew that already, but what ever. Lets say this trolling here has not painted you in good colors. You have your opinion of me, I don't care about that anymore.
