Hmm I got the deluxe bought which includes some dlc .. however i bought it from steam.. when I download it (which took ages) it's already auto patched to 1.1 .. I do encounter those graphical glitches someone mentioned.. but installing version 1.0, then dlc, then patch is not possible as steam just downloads 1.1 ??

You can't use Spirit Doors until you earn the Spirit form, of course Wink

What sabin said. You just have to switch around to other islands and go where you can depending on which forms you unlocked, then backtrack to earlier islands with newly aquired forms to continue on there.

See what Surray said, mate. The Dream World is piece of piss, you just have to look around. There's five areas you can access at the start - once you've explored one, head back to the nexus and choose another.

Yes you need to move to other islands to aquire more forms, and later return to the first one when you aquired the necessary form to pass the door. The spirit form is not on the first island.

After getting FINALLY all these DLCs working I am going to revise my judgement about "insane difficulty".
With ALL these items granted by the DLCs the game is becoming FAR easier (on normal). Now it is as it should be...

Its really sad to admit, that buyers of the "vanilla version" (without DLCs) are additionally getting "punished" by the harder difficulty as a result of the missing DLC items. After experiencing that result now myself, I think you should not support that "distribution politics". This whole concept is really unfair and should not be supported.... all players shall play under the same conditions ... Evil or Very Mad

Which items did you find so overpowering? I've sold/replaced pretty much all of them now, Sten still has the blood dragon armor tho.

I just freed him, he's awesome.
He reminds me of HK-47 and Wrex Razz Best characters in their games.

My Shale must be broken. Compared to Alistair he cant hold aggro and he cant take hits. He wont replace Al as a tank but hes decent on offense with his quake ability.

well, what about these rings and amulets with health regeneration, additional armor, bonuses to resitstance, this belt, the helmet, this really good dagger (without it especially in the early game a rogue char would be far less useful in battle) and so on...

maybe that all this stuff becomes useless later in the game, but they are VERY useful earlier. and since many early battles may result in a very close path between defeat or victory (in my opinion), every inch of support from items may grant a survival in a very difficult battle.

so the balance IS being altered by the DLCs in a very rmarkable way, I think.... (not even mentioning the additional experience the chars can get in the DLC-related quests)

I've been playing without DLC's on hard and I think it's rather easy actually. I'm no super gamer so I can only conclude that you're all whiny bitches. Smile
Sure I have to load every now and again, and I use injury kits here and there, but that's a good thing. Did you guys ever play BG1? Now that game was HARD! Must have loaded 30 times on Sarevok. This is a piece of cake in comparison.

I'm lvl 14 atm btw.

I played both rogue and mage on normal and hard, without any dlc and before the patch, witch supposedly made normal easier. It really isn't that difficult. Sure, some fights can be though, but still, it's nothing too bad.

I started with him in Stoneheart stance but realized he wasn't doing a good job of tanking so I switched to the offense stance and he's decent then. I'd much rather take a mage over him though in that role. I'm using nature crystals right now, what's a good element?
