I contacted them with the question:
Will the Modern:Warfare2 cd-keys be send today? Since its the 12th, and 48 hours have passed. Greetings Jeffrey
They replied:

Everything feels just right and very responsive. At first 12 players felt a little empty cos I'm used to CoD4 50 players mayhem, but after half an hour I fell in love. |
After playing for a few hours I have to agree I haven't noticed any lag and the player count does seem to make the game more balanced. I actually have some freedom to move around the map without a person or grenade being around every corner.

They'd made the hit boxes very large too - no wonder. Anyone with half a brain knows that this means that lousy aimers get rewarded by good aimers will lose their advantage. If I aim for a headshot, I should be aiming for the head. I've seen the hitboxes here - the head is apparently three times wider here so it's hard NOT to hit it. For crap shooters, this is probably great. For people who want skill to dominate .. not so.

Although I do agree the hitboxes are pretty ridiculous but I think reflexes come more in to play than accuracy.

If you get the ncf files and place them in the \steamapps\ folder and then name the game folder "call of duty modern warfare 2" and place it in \steamapps\ common and finally start Steam it should detect the game as fully installed (Says pre-load complete when I tested it as I haven't bought it.) but you might want to verify the integrity to get the proper Steam EXE files and whatnot.

JB, look at my problem:
do you have any speculations on this? I got the NCF files off of CSRinRu, Steam says 100%, but when starting either MP or SP I get this message.  |

Well that's just great. Bought the key on g2play.net, pay through paypal, then when I return to g2play.net after payment I get an error saying the payment failed, and the order cancelled. However the money was drawn from my acc/cc, and I got the receipt from paypal etc.
Sent them a mail, but god knows what will happen.
Anyone had this happen to them before ?

iNatan, I'm not 100% certain on how Steam does authenticate the various games to your account and such but I do know it's very hard (Impossible?) to play games on normal Steam as it will detect that you don't own it (Some update in that .blob file probably.) and in this case it also uses Steamworks integration which makes it even more difficult.
A cracked Steam client could work and emulate the game but so far none of them work for this title as far as I know.
(Needs to be updated against the latest build of Steam to properly support newer titles and functions or something like that.)
Again I'm not 100% certain on how this is done, cs.rin.ru forums has some nice information about it though, might be useful to check.

Now they only changed it from "Within 48 hours" to "a few hours".
