I wouldn't mind it as much if they actually told us what was going on. They could simply send out emails saying they will have their keys tomorrow, instead of making us sit and eagerly wait for them to send the keys today.

Yeah but these few cheaters are fucking with nothing but other people's enjoyment of the game. It's more a reflection of PC online gaming then anything to do with IWnet, cheaters are everywhere. |
They're not in dedicated servers with active admins.

Now this day it was "a few hours".
It is the fact that there seems alot the be uncertain, and that is confusing.

So, how is multiplayer? I'm still debating if i should get it or not.. If I understood it correctly, you won't be able to create your own server. How are you going to play fixed games, clan games etc? Esport wise this game must be a disaster? Or have i understood i incorrectly?

explain how your whining is in anyway game related ? Go open a thread in the bitch section of forum or something. There you can cry and whine and whatever else you do while waiting for your key ..
MW2 is the biggest selling game EVER in the history of mankind (day 1 figures anyway) , to my displeasure, anyway, so don't you think that those companies MAYBE have stock ruptures ? JUST A THOUGHT.

There are many game modes devoted just for clan games, i mean you can make a party of your clan mates and then you will be able play together on the same team all the time against other teams.
I already tried this out with a friend and it's much easier to play together and stay on the same team than it was in CoD4.
And if you want a real clan match it's very easy to set it up with private match, it has shit load of settings.
Someone is feeding you all the wrong info

There are a few users here who orderd from g2play.
And none of them got a key, so how the hell do you know there is a restock issue?
Its easy to come and bash other people, offcourse.
But since they never stopped the pre-order, Im guessing they could still "provide" the current orders.
So explain to me why do you think they have a restock issue?
They did not even stock yet.

You can create your own servers, just not dedicated ones.

I never said that all PC multiplayer is bad, just that you frequently get cheaters on public servers. It's part of the reason why I don't play FPS multiplayer on the PC any more, because I never get involved enough in the community to have access to secure servers.

I had to beg for a refund 3-4 times to g2play, they said "we got keys now, you still want refund??" every time. Looking here it seems, that was mostly bullshit anyways. Now I have to wait and see if I really get any money back. Will buy from there some other time probably, not something this hyped though!! Bought it on steam instead ( For 200% of the g2play price!!  )
Anyhow...
Been playing MP to about rank 15-20. And I would say the lag is bad in every 10th game or so (Sometimes more, sometimes less). Its pretty noticeable when you are host too  , but that goes for most games eh. I hope the hackers are kept at bay, because Ive had some really wierd replays of deaths already (could be bad luck too!!).
The maps are pretty good overall, some shitty maps; but thats expected with almost every game.
Enjoying it so far! Havent done more than 3-4 missions in the SP, will take care of that later. I'm more of a MP guy overall!
Probably not worth the Steam price (euro) , but a enjoyable game nonetheless!

If I were to purchase from Steam, could I copy the contents of the Skidrow-Proper release (sans cracked executables of course) into the appropriate /steamapps folder and then simply "Verify" in order to download a few megs of files instead of having to get 12 gigs again at Steam's shitty ass speeds?

I think that has been asked 3-4 times on the last few pages, I believe you can rename the folder, stick it in steam app folder or something, and steam will see it? Go read again to be sure, I think Beckman wrote about it.
