care to explain the connection between asking for a way to reconfigure the controls and some guy asking how babby is made? is there an obvious way of changing the keys, one that only an idiot would miss or something? i haven't played the game, btw.
sorry in advance for the trouble i'm asking you to go through.

Another problem i have is that when i hit new game it takes me to the brightness screen and when i hit back i go to the new game screen and for some reason it wont start the game!? Yes i know how to use the crack.

I only just seen that this is out on the PC, knew nothing about it. Remember that the original was a bit shite on the PS2, as the executions weren't anywhere near as satisfying as in the first, but this is supposed to be uncensored, right? Big difference?

There's a slight red tint at the most brutal level of execution (red/third) but other than that and that two or three moves were a bit shortened it's as uncensored as it's going to get, even has some pretty brutal "decals" when you hit characters with heavier stuff or sharp objects.
(As a example that S&M level / Snuff film factory gets pretty gory if you are stealthy enough for the environment executions and get the more imaginative "tools" what with all the unique ways to kill people that is offered.)

The gun executions are also altered, no more Pistol putting in mouth and the Tranq gun kill was especially brutal on the PS2, guy cant move anymore, falls on the ground and then Danny stomps on his head. On PC its only a headshot and the head explodes (yeah, right Tranq gun and exploding heads..) Overall most executions are shortened, I'd say about 60%, at least not the Crowbar ones!
This is all because its a Wii port, the Wii executions were all a little bit shorter and less sadistic and I guess theres no way to mod this since the extended Sony animations aren't even included in the PC port.
And PS: The Flashlight and the Mace weapons are NOT included in the PC Version.

That many were altered? of course it still looks pretty brutal but I guess that PS2 beta must have been even gorier then, guess it's due to porting the Wii version (With those mouse gestures replacing the wii-mote control.) instead of the PS2 version but the gameplay is more or less the same though I guess the PS2 version might have looked a bit sharper perhaps?
(I don't really know how well the Wii compares to the PS2 in such terms though.)

I was wrong two pages later in stating that the PS2 beta got longer executions than all the other versions. In fact, all Sony Versions, PS2 beta and retail and PSP have the long executions, only Wii and PC dont. But the Sony versions don't have the blood splattering on clothes, this is Wii and PC exclusive, so there is no Version out there that's the most violent (blood & long executions).

On with the examples..
This is the Tranq gun Pc and Wii execution:

PS2/PSP (at 4:35):

Another:
Katana Level 3 PC (not on Wii):

Katana Level 3 PS2/PSP, at 8:50:

Here you can see on the PS2 the head doesnt go off right away, it requires 2 slashes cause the first one gets stuck in the neck, ouch!

The Plastic Bag and the missing punches on the last execution, this time the PSP (0:30):

And the PC/WII:

This is just the tip of the iceberg, there are countless other differences if you compare the videos.

Manhunt 2 is long forgotten. No loss here, whatsoever. Maybe you're the only one on the planet that remembers it. Laughing

Hmm, I don't so, but it wut fit GOG's profile of hosting forgotten gems Smile

Btw. Rockstar may start to sell the pc version on disc via Amazon since they already awarded the guy that reported the D2D removal with a Manhunt2 swag package that included a disc version (supposedly it's the first legal MH2 disc copy).

Sadly in todays time a game like Manhunt is probably the least one to get a remaster / remake / sequel. Sad

Kickstarter the thing, names licensed but add a female protagonist since those are popular and change the name and...

Womanhunt!

...Or maybe not. Razz

EDIT: Wonder if the second game ever managed to get a decent distribution system, guess it's kinda dead by now otherwise. (Not that the port was all that good though.)

(And I guess Punisher and X-Man: Wolverine - Super-hard pants are also dead due to licensed stuff and Activision killing that dead permanently after expiration, joining Deadpool and Spider-Man in the pit next to EA's.)

Something named "Womanhunt" is the wet dream of every self proclaimed SJW or woman-rights defender. Imagine the sudden raise in popularity for some unknown-by-everyone-people. Such catchy titles are today the Holy Grail for every fame-digger, who changes his/her opinions like toothbrushes every few months just to gain some time under the lights, especially in the USA where fame is like a 3rd kind a currency and can open some doors. And this is the main reason such groups are getting stronger every day, even though they don't even care what they are "fighting" for. They are just doing for themselves.

Yeah some publishers have already been hit by this from what I remember, most aren't too interest in the game itself or media such as books, movies and it occasionally also hits specific people.

Some of these reveals in the multi-media business is likely not bad but it can also affect individuals who later turn out to have been completely innocent but had to endure all kinds of allegations and accusations over social media and such.

Quite a mess how some of these things can blow up and turn peoples lives upside down, sometimes without any fact checking or anything.

For video games it can also mean developers try to take less risks or try to cater to everyone, Andromeda I suppose is a example of this.

I suppose books, music and movies had their darker periods and now it's interactive media or video games next up, makes for an easy target for political reasons and shifting blame too. (Can't be the social issues or other problems oh no it's the fictional setting video game that did it.)

EDIT: And of course no-one would actually do something like the above naming example unless they're intentionally trying to be mocking or edgy such as say the controversy around Hatred when that came out.
(Or the terrible shovelware on Steam and it's indie Unity engine asset flip stuff.)

For what it's worth, it's a bit of a hassle to set up, but if one follows PCgamingwiki's how-to the first Manhunt works well under modern Windows so there's that. Razz The sequel is easier to run since it already supports widescreen, plus as far as I remember it shouldn't need any specific tweaks.

With the unofficial fix, ThirteenAG's patch (the framerate must be capped to 60, otherwise the game goes bonkers), downsampling + AA/ambient occlusion (with the compatibility 0x00000010) forced via drivers and noise filter disabled from the options, the gritty atmosphere is still solid:

 Spoiler:

It's still fun to replay too, the stealth/AI may come off as too simplistic but the hunting men logically stick to their rules. I think the (criticized) gunplay is actually decent, it's damned brutal and you can't afford mindlessly pewing around, one misstep and you're dead meat Dude Cool
