LOL! Loved it, man. I loved the entire game - it was sublimely made, a true credit to BioWare's name and reputation.

MOAR DRAGON AGE!!! God, if ME2 is even half as good as DAO was, we're in for a royal treat.

How exactly does teh item set bonus work? Does only the name count (leather, chainmail etc.) or is the material sufficient too? So will I get a set bonus if I use different armors made of Veridium?

No, it's only the MATERIAL (ie; Red Steel or Dragonbone) You need Helm, Gloves, Boots, Armour. If all those four components have the same material, you get the set bonus.

I don't know/recall if weapons also enter into it, too... I *think* they do, but I could be wrong.

Ok thanks, I always thought teh material didn't matter. I don't think weapons matter, changing weapons never influenced my bonus.

I truely loved the game, but I am going to take a small break from it before I complete it again. Been playing a semi-friendly, 2h juggernaut, big armor and big sword....next playthrough thinking of going mage, but not sure if blood magic all that so I'll have to see. Ofcourse also a new party setup for new party interaction, considering dropping morrigan even..or perhaps respec here and kill wynne instead.

I was wondering though, how user-friendly is the toolkit and is it complete enough to remake the entire game if you wished?

Sorry, but wrong. Materials have nothing to do with it, the name is actually what matters.

You can even see in the bodyarmor's description what other pieces you need to complete the set. It only lists the kind of armor, not the material. Plus you only need the body/gloves/boots for a set, shields and helmets are not part of it.

Maybe you used a set that didn't require all 3 slots, and fill the rest with things that were not neccessary for it.

Why do so many people choose Juggernauts/tanks?

TB can kick pretty much everyone's ass as a assassin or duelist.

There are sets that require a helmet (Well I've only found one but it counts.) other than that helmets mostly match a specific armor type/style but isn't a requirement for the bonus you can get.
(Currently trying to find Chevalier, Guardian and Ancient Elven, stored Juggernaut, Blood Dragon and various Templar armor in the chest along with some misc stuff like Dwarven Massive plate and a whole lot of ingredients and various uniquely named items, pretty sure I messed up the ability to get the complete armament for that Elven one though as I didn't want to trade for the helmet.)

I have a question - im playing a rogue, wielding a sword (enchanted with a grand master lightning rune) and a dagger (enchanted with a master lightning rune), ring that adds +5 fire damage, ring that adds +5 cold damage plus i sometimes use deathroot poison for my weapons.
The question - do all those bonuses add to total damage? Or does fire damage make cold damage vanish? When fighting i keep staring at the enemies and health so i dont see whether there is some fire/cold and poison damage included in my hits.

HALP!

Thanks in advance.

PS. I still cannot decide what specialisation to choose (for the rogue). Maybe the assassin? Or duelist? What do you recommend.

They're all included. When you attack an enemy, watch for floating damage numbers -- colours are also important. Fire damage is shown with red numbers, etc etc (I often get a whole LIST of numbers floating up Very Happy Laughing)

Slight bloom modification via that ENB utility or what to call it, I'm in Orzimmar now though so it doesn't really look right as the area is pretty bright and hazy regardless, will have to test it on another area later on.

EDIT:

And two other's that just look a bit odd.

Of the ENB mod? there isn't much to say, slightly hazier bloom effect and somewhat more vibrant colors from what I've read, it's pretty subtle after testing it in a few Original stories and as usual it needs a bit of tweaking to look right depending on the game setting you use.

Doesn't it count everything?

that's total game completion across all characters you ever played, and you probably won't reach more than 50% or something on your first playthrough.
to get 100% you will actually have to see everything by making different choices in other playthrough and play the different origin stories, etc.

Noob question that i know has been answered but don't feel to go through 150 pages to find the answer :

I just installed all the DLC and would like to know when you get the notification for the stone prisonner and warden keep quests. I'm in Lothering right now and just reloaded my game and see nothing in the journal nor did i get any notification.

Thanks

Shouldn't you get the journal entries directly?
(I have them under "Premium Content" as soon as I start a new game, can't reach them without leaving Lothering first though.)

EDIT: Oh and Inz, just leaving someone behind doesn't always work. Smile
