Ok I bought a key and activated it on Steam. Now it seems I have to download the game through Steam. Can't I just play online with Skidrow's release ?

Skidrow's release has a custom installer, so i doubt it would work. Razor's release on other hand might work since it had steam intact.

...it's not out yet. 
The SP felt like a Michael Bay crap. Full of explosions and "cool moments" but awful at the story. |

MP is tons of fun, there's a lot to do. It has many RPG elemets with experience, leveling up, challenges and so on and so forth. There's a huge sense of progress when you play MP. I assume you didn't even play CoD4 MP? Then you are especially in for a surprise cos it will feel completely new. |
Well I played Cod4 a little on cracked servers but it was very difficult to find a good one so I gave up.
I guess I'll give it a go, but cdkey shop servers are too busy ! |
although i bought cod4...i remember i tried to play on cracked servers and there was a LOT of them! then i felt sorry i paid money for it cuz i thought cod4 will have an online profile system like bf2...but that was not the case

No doubt I'll get a lot of shit for saying that, as well as being called a liar and whatnot, but I'm sure as hell man enough to admit I was wrong; this plays fluidly with no stutter or bullet lag. When I aim at someone and pull the trigger, it hits them, and this wasn't just one game either -- it was 12.

I must agree with you. This game is just fucking epic online. No lag/No stutters . It's just pure awesomeness.

Didn't suffer any lag at all (everyone had 4-5 green bars) surprisingly! It'll never be as smooth and perfect as dedicated servers with 20-40ms, but seriously -- I had no problems just.
