Okay, I know you're being sarcastic and funnay and trying to make a point, but seriously, this misquoting of that LucasArts employee's statement is seriously fucking old and stupid.

He never said that it was impossible for SW:TFU to run on PC hardware. He never said it couldn't be powerful enough. He simply said that, at that time, LA had reservations about being able to get the game running on a wide enough range of PC hardware (funfact: most consumers do not own high-end enthusiast gaming computers!).

He never, ever fucking said that PCs could not be powerful enough to handle the game.

This misquote is retarded, and people who use the misrepresentation of his statement as parts of arguments are similarly dumb, because the truth of his statement is not relevant to what it is they're usually arguing.

Yes but here we're talking about a turkish idiot ( no offending towards the turks Smile) of the 'so called' third generation here in Holland who went to a dutch university and thinks he's so smart and have a phantasic sense of ironical humor but it's always misplaced.

At our forum at ftd ( dutch usenet community ) he dared to place this statement:

'The probability of being banned while being connected to the internet is 67,6%. If you play the game without being connected it´s about 13,6%. If place it on your harddrive this percentage will rise to to 34,9%. Pre/releases also have a chance of 92,8%, so be very carefull with that.

Also the method of burning and type of burner is playing a role. Burners who are older then 2 year will raise these percentages with about 7,9%, while burning via a .dvd file lower this percentage with 5,9%'

I think you may understand i'm still laughing when i read this Wink

OK, I take my sarcasm posts back. Clearly, old burners raise to 8.4% and not 7.9%.

I didn't use SW in my post because of that dev quote actually, it was just the first game that came to mind when I posted. I know that quote was misused like everything on the net. While I do not agree with that quote, it wasn't the basis of my SW/AC2 comparison.

I was making a point with that retard. The theories on the net are as usefull as my numbers, both come out of someone's ass.

So do you still believe AC2 is going to require next generation hardware to run? Bear in mind that the game is natively running on a triple-core CPU with an X1900-derivative (360) and a single-core/sextuplet-thread CPU with a 7800-derivative (PS3)?

Very Happy

Sabin, you clearly have no notion about console hardware versus PC hardware Very Happy . I will not go into a discussion with you sir, but my sources do tell me the raw power of the HD5890 might just be enough. I'm still not confident, but let's hope so.

......... oh you're funny. Seriously. I'm keeping you on my list of funny people. There are no comparisons between console and PC hardware; PC hardware wins, hand's down, every time. Fact. You were so wrong about SW-TFU that it defies logic, let's see what you say about AC2 when that hits in March.

The point of my sarcasm is not "being funny", sarcasm rarely is. I just try to make a point. I also like the 'fallout' it causes, it usually does.

To a point. I still think my Xbox360 rules all your PC's. Sadly, it was too awesome so it died on me Sad. The awsomeness was not stable, it was too much.

Pffffeh. Anything it can do, my PC can do better - even while lacking one of the cores Very Happy I really do miss my 360 though, can't wait till next month when I get a replacement. So many games to catch up on - and at least I won't have to wait till March to play AC2.

An interesting video, showing different approaches to objectives. Surely the stealth dynamics are a little more 'complex' than before (even if 'complex' clearly isn't the right adjective)
