Hmm c4e didn't say 1.6 iXtreme is detectable on live....this is new, is there confirmation that all Ixtremes are detectable on Live when playing good backups?[/quote]
they are all detectable because they dont implement api 2.5 from what ive heard, c4eva didnt think ms would use it so didnt include it from waht ive read.

I won't say I'm glad that I was banned but it did bring something really good with it. I tried Dragon Age on the PC.
Holy. Fucking. Shit.
The console version is an abomination compared to the real deal.
A bit more on topic is that I now own a legit 360 with my very first purchased console game since Tekken Tag Tournament for the PS2. No bullshit.
It even feels kinda good. In that weird homosexual way.

Hmm ok so it's not just 1.6 iX, it's all of them? DO you have a link anywhere of c4e mentioning this api crap? Oh well, once I get banned, I'll sell it, get a PS3 and finally play Demon's Souls and MGSIV and save Live subscription cost!

Fortunately I still had an original 360 which I got from the service centre, so I use that to play online.

I must have downloaded 70 X360 games, it was weird indeed to buy an original game (COD MW2.)

Is there a way to find out whether a certain console serial has been banned WITHOUT having the console connect to Live?

you may have to buy a new unmodded console ?
thats why I took a one month subscription, but I got banned 2 days later
btw I noticed something stranged since my ban
GTA 4 was unplayable if not installed on HDD.
It was ok if installed on HDD but had some texture missing
Since I'm banned and the game is only on the CD, I dont have this anymore. Game is playable.
And I did not play the game since I was banned, so theres no cache on the HDD
Could MS check the disc while playing ? this would cause bad performance ?

The only thing I care about is installing games to the HDD which is why I didn't want to connect this console to Live. Anyways the warranty for this console says "Expired" and then when I try to request a repair, it says error. And I have several other consoles registered and even though those warranties actually did expire, it still gives me the option to request a repair. So yup this console is definitely banned. Thanks for the info

C4Eva released a statement saying that he did just that and has 3 360s running under different config and he didn't get 1 of them banned. C4 says that his biggest suspicion is that people used pre-released P2P game releases and/or used abgx360 incorrectly (like not setting the autofix level to 3, etc).
I haven't gotten banned and I played all these games recently with ix1.6 on live: DAO,Forza 3, Halo 3, Tekken 5, Borderlands, MW2.
Make proper backups, don't use p2p, know how to use abgx360, DO NOT PLAY pre-release games on Live[/b]
c4e also said that he's working on iXtreme Lite Touch FW, NO ETA, but the most exciting feature is the absolute undetectability of it, c4e claims. Can't wait  , until then i'm using activate.iso in offline mode and then turn to live once i'm in the game already, game running off of HD. |
Is it a problem if this is like a different language to me? Well, I understand new firmware and undetectability  I'm buying a new 360 soon but imma wait with the modding until I see where everything is going. But up until now I have always just used abgx.net to see when a game gets released and then go get it at some sites I know of (where I use rapidshare links).
But how do I use abgx (I thought it was just a site) and in general how do I know it's a proper backup?

well, in my country xbox isnt officialy supported so i just bring it to muller (the shop) who just give you a new one if its under 3years since you bought it . they dont even open the box , just need the original bill.

I have used to have three dogs, my Xbox 360 would show the three rings of death every now and then so I would take it apart and clean it out, problem solved for a few months, then the drive broke so I Asked Microsoft to fix it for a fee, the refused because I broke the seal so I thought screw Microsoft I ain't paying to replace it so I got a donor drive and replaced it and flashed the Xbox.
Anyway I got banned recently its actually done me a favour as I refused to pay the subs for online play and gold account ( cheeky bastard M$ ) and used to buy Arcaed games so its going to save me money,Microsoft can stick live up its fat wealthy ass, I'll buy game to play online for my PS3.

It will be out for ALL drives... that is what C4E said...
might be for all like samsung,benq etc or all in like all the new 9xxx liteons. We don't know yet. |

banned since weekend, used 1.51 & liteon ... but anyway, i've done the live network check without my HDD plugged in, got the ban massage & plugged my HDD back in, but my 360 says to me if i try to run installed game:
"found another hdd, please reinstall or plug in the real hdd for this console"
reinstall won't work ... so my question is:
if i buy a arcade, can i use my ( hopefully ) not scrambled 60GB hdd? i would use the memory card for my banned 360 for savegames, cause HDD install won't work anyway.

But it was foolish of you to take it back in.. high risk now of it being fucked up. But I think you are on the save side. |
