No, the rest of the game is awesome.. it's where you have to pull the Star Destroyer down. THAT drove me up the wall, on the 360 too.

Oh that, had some problems there as well actually due to the constant re-spawning of those tie-fighters, not too dangerous but it makes the level a bit of a drag if you aren't fast enough.
(I actually pulled it down too much so it got stuck in the "floor" of the level the first time, had to restart that checkpoint to proceed as the ship couldn't get loose.)

Gamespot claims the PC version is bugged to oblivion, almost unplayable, and a terrible port. As opposed to IGN; they gave it a pretty good score, 7.5 and didn't pay too much attention to the bugs and glitches as GS did.

Gamespot is full of shit, lol, though they're right about one thing; it's a "port". I just finished the game, around 7.5hrs worth of play (not bothering to hunt down all the holocrons, I did that crap on the Xbox version) and it was a blast of a time. Barely any bugs to speak of (only one that even comes to mind was me getting stuck outside the world when I was in the Sarlacc) and it ran flawlessly, never wavering from the 30fps cap -- the patch helped performance too, all-but eliminating the "laggy" feel to the game.
If you've got the rig for it, and haven't yet played the game, I strongly recommend doing so. Awesome Star Wars experience.

Aye, those damned Tie Fighters were what irked me more than anything .... right up until the moment I found out you can just zap them with Force Lightning and they became considerably less of a problem, before it was having to deal with them AND get the correct orientation of the Star Destroyer so that it could be pulled down. Turns out the onscreen indicators are a crock of shit, lol. Just make sure the Destroyer is facing you, and you can see it's belly -- once that happens, you almost instantly get the "RIP IT DOWN!" section.

The game isn't bad, but it could have been so much better. Didn't the crappy lightsaber combat bother anyone but me? When you hit someone with a lightsaber, you don't usually get green fucking orbs as a result.
And boss fights usually go like this: 1)Hit them with lightning
2)Run around until lightning recharges
3)Repeat steps 1 and 2
If only there was a way to merge this game with Jedi Outcast or Jedi Academy.

I agree. The game isn't bad. But there are details which should be different.
Speed burst should be continous.
Force jump should be "in one jump".
Change of lightsaber fighting styles. Dual and two-hand lightsabers.
No "blue-white-blur" when using force push. Maybe just slight motion blur or something.
Just to name a few.

What is an aspect ratio of this game? I have a 4:3 monitor (1024x1280) and it just feels somehow squeezed.

I didn't check 4:3 res, but I checked 16:10 vs 16:9 and it maintains correct aspect ratio and fov. So shouldn't be a problem with 4:3 either, me thinks.

You are right. It seems that only animations (FMVs) are unoptimized for 4:3 but the rest of the game is ok.

Ah, i feel 30GBs lighter. Just finished the pos, glad thats over. This game has truly been a test of my patience, between the crashes, the idiotic AI, the invincibility frames of most bosses and FUCKING VADER FORCE GRIPPING ME 30 TIMES IN A ROW! FUCK.
Alright i feel better now.

Pffft, you're all muppets. TFU was awesome, a proper decent SW action game.

I already beat the game on the psp. So this is basically the same game with better graphics? I thought the next gen version was very different.

This.
Ran great as well.. some minor slowdowns when alot of stuff gets annihilated, but never annoying (framerate drops usually annoy the crap out of me).
Already finished it on the xbox360, still enjoyed the PC version as well.

Same here, mate. Played and finished the 360 version back when it came out, then I finished the PC one a few days ago. Pre-patch was a bit stuttery, it ran at 30fps - but often felt like less, yet when it was patched it played great and felt great.

Ah, I will admit I patched it right away, so I don't know how performance would've been without it. Guess thats a good thing.

Argh. For some reason the game keeps crashing for me, just after the box shuffling tutorial, when the movie starts to play (before the mission on the ship). The movie alone works, when watched from the menu, but the mission just won't start, no matter what i do. It's even more irritating because i've completed it before but didn't keep the save, and because after the patch, the game is actually playable on my rig on those missions it was slow before (checked it by mission select on a 100% save from the net - but it has all abilities enabled so it's kinda meh to play that way). ARGH!
Anyone who could possibly provide a save file after first mission as the Aprentice? I would be indebted if someone could do that.

Finished the last extra missions (the jedi temple one) a couple of minutes ago. It deserves the prize of shittiest port of the year. Too bad the story was actually decent.
Patch installed still had performance problems and a few crashes.Still at least the loading times for the menus are better although it did manage to lockup a few times on me. Seems like a 10 year old can code in his sleep better than ASPYRSHIT did for this game. Those willing to try give it a year of two and maybe the game will be playable for all of us.

I've had a lot of problems with the game too. Crashes mainly, but not exclusively. There's also a lot of people with such problems, probably depends on PC config/system. A very shitty port of a decent game. Not mind-blowing or anything, just decent.
