To a point. I still think my Xbox360 rules all your PC's. Sadly, it was too awesome so it died on me Sad. The awsomeness was not stable, it was too much.

That's why I'm not getting a 360, they just keep dying on people. I'm thinking of getting a PS3 next year cause I wanna pew pew on it. Surprised

What about the gameplay? Is it still repetitive/dumb-user-friendly?

youve got more options on what to do this time. You can collect feathers, statues, seals (seals mean you must utilize some prince of persia jump n run skills)
You can renovate, buy buildings so your income will increase. You can spend money on clothes, paintings (making your villa more valuable, so more income), weapons, armor, health.
Btw: if you start playing the game, be sure to collect every codex page (30 in all) you can only start the last chapter of the game, if you have all of them.
so in short: i think its more entertaining than the first one.

This obviously works, and that's what I used too, but that wasn't my point.

So is there a point to the collectibles this time around, or are they there just for the sake of collecting - like the flags in AC1?

Some of the items appear to be needed to get the better buyable equipment to become available, others are needed for side missions and even later story missions apparently from what I've read on the console section's thread about the game. Smile

well, it's just an oversight

Laughing after the Conviction's in-game panther sounds, I'm not surprised anymore.
Tecnically, the first AC already had a sexy animal sound: don't you remember the eagle scream when you jumped from View Points?

So is Ubisoft adding "custom stuff like mouse control" and it will take 4-5 months to implement it?

I played it on PS3 and I'm very very happy with the game. The first one disappointed me quite a bit when I found how repetitive it was, but I still completed it as it still had a lot of great elements to it.

AC2 has much more variety and optional stuff to do. There is money now too and it allows hiring courtesans, mercenaries and thiefs to distract guards or fight with you, purchasing armor upgrades, repairing armor, changing the color of your outfit, etc, and you even hav your own villa where your armors, weapons and paintings are on display and more that I don't want to spoil.

It's just vastly superior in many ways (though not in all ways) and a much better game.
I was skeptical before I bought it and was afraid they might not have improved it enough, but they did, and I love it.

There's still some weak spots such as combat still beeing too easy (I'd prefer not beeing able to take on 5+ guards at the same time and instead beeing forced to run once in a while) but if you got any enjoyment out of the first game then you should be very happy with this sequel.
