Not alot about im afraid TB right now Sad

If AC had a engine update etc I would be right back there in a second,, but i played that game for yeaaarsss and im done to death with it now...

The only thing "Im" playing right now is a bit of war (sigh) for some pvp rvr) and long term eve onling...

I cant think of anything else right now worth bothering with..

proper pvp, market and crafting/invention systems. Sure you've no avatar as in Asherons Call, but it will come sometime maybe next year Razz then you'll be able to own clubs and other cool stuff like go on casinos in space stations Smile

Too bad EVE is probably most unfriendly MMO ever, pretty much only game where you can get scammed even before you complete your tutorial Wink

Age of Conan is 100x better than when it came out. The combat mechanics are the best of any MMO I've played, they've done a lot of work to it and added a considerable amount of content. Also, the expansion pack coming out looks very cool. They have a promotion as well through the end of the month where you can get the game, 7 days free, an in-game helm that gives you 10% more experience and with the $99 package, you get a year subscription and the expansion pack for free. If you factor in the xpac will sell for $40, that's just $5 a month for the subscription. You can try it for free too to see if you like it. The game is friggin ass huge though (30+gb). I've been playing since release and it's gone through some ups and down for sure, but I couldn't go back to WoW after the combat in AoC. The game is M rated too and has nudity and some really cool ass fatalities and gore. You can solo your way to 80 pretty easily as well. I mostly raid now and have a couple of toons with full Tier 2 armor and weapons (best you can get), other than one T1 item on my conqueror.

I think you should forget the MMO's for a while.
You have started referring to yourself in the third person.

If you must though then yeh Age of Conan.

Did you play World of Warcraft? If not, then look through the WoW hate and give it a try, it's the most complete MMO on the market.

Wow is fine there just isnt any danger in that mmo no more.. its pvp is ok but not great and the pve is pure easymode of late...

But yes i agree it is a complete rounded mmo in other areas..

I went back to it about 2mnths ago when they offered a 14 day free account opening to old time subbers...

The performance was quite a bit better but not wholey great stil in the main city... gfx of course are lovely.. but to me it was still lacking high level stuff... being a 76 necro was tougher than it was cause I think they nerfed them a bit more.,, but was still a good fun class..

if they made anymore changed to performance etc etc i dont know, but its not yet enticed me back long term..

He did not ask for a F2P mmo neither did i say its cool to play this as F2P. If you´re from Europe you can go with Codemasters monthly subs models as well but future for this version is a bit in doubt at the moment. I got two DDO retail keys left for the CM version, contact me if you need one.

Necro is a very powerful class. The game did become more gear dependent with 1.05 patch though. Gear used to mean like nothing, now it is important. It's nothing like WoW, but gear went from about 25% of your character's power to 50%. They added in Tartania Commons for 76-80, with repeatable quests. The are much fewer "grind" levels than when the game came out. In fact, there is a lot more content across the board. T3 raiding is due out soon and the expansion pack looks pretty good. No increase in level cap, the ability to "tame" a tiger or wolf, have it fight along side you and eventually use as a mount, alternate advancement including some martial arts stuff. Faction based combat, Asian theme, architecture and culture, etc. If you want a good MMO to play now, AoC is worth a look. I've played WoW and EQ and while AoC lacks the "fluff" that wow had, it's a much grittier, darker world and the combat and graphics are considerably better than WoW. It's not perfect, but it's the best out there IMHO.

Isn't the Warhammer one free up to level 10? Should give you enough taste if you like it or not...

(Sorry, didn't read whole tread, might have missed someone recommending it.)

they need to make that trial ding to lvl 12 not just up to 10 or 11 whatever... people will start twinking characters and ruining Tier 1 rvr nordland more often.... not to mention hacks that are rife at this time.

Sadly most new MMORPG's are just horrible. There are exceptions of course but nowadays its not even safe to assume they will even survive for long. Take for example Rage (I think that was the name) how long did that last? A few months? Even good ones run the risk of failing.

Perhaps the past MMORPG's that hold places in our hearts like Ashrons call or DAOC aren't so because they were great but because it was more original back then and new ideas expanded the games. Nowadays it seems less trying to original and bring innovative ideas but simply trying to copy on what they know works. Because of this I doubt we will anytime soon see any major advancement in MMORPGs.

I've never played asherons call but I was big into Guild Wars for the longest time. It's a but boring doing PVE since you do it by yourself most of the time unless you have friends or a guild to play with, but the game is very PVP heavy now.
