I found a fix for annoying random fps drops in mulitplayer (40fps for a few secs and then back up to 90).
Edit config_mp.cfg and change seta r_drawWater "1" to seta r_drawWater "0". Make this file read only.
Doesn't actually disable water, or anything else, just gets rid of these annoying slow downs.

Don't want to ruin your parade but I play multiplayer games to kill people online, not to talk to them. I have no time or will to pretend and care about some crappy dedicated server community. I just get home, start the game and go shoot people in the face online. So for me this game is almost perfect in that aspect.
I've grown out of clans, server communities and all that crap when I was 15-16 playing CS

Ok, So I'll be getting this game in like what....an hour or so.
I'll try it out and then see what I think of it. ^_^

+1. I occasionally play with RL mates, then it's a bit different, but generally agree completely.
I don't even read the chat TBH, most of what's said skips straight by as I'm so used to ignoring the keyboard warrior kiddies having a gay boy bitch fight. Which is what half the chat in COD4/5 seems to be.

Is there ANY way yet to get lan games going (maybe with that "not from teknogods" mp crack ? I don't care at all about online play ....
Also if i use that formentioned crack, it needs steam, I bought the game legit on steam, can i use the crack on that steam account or should i somehow make a new steam ?

No way to get private games going with crack, no, because Steam won't let you add friends to invite. Unless of course you are willing to risk an account with actual games.

You technically could but highly discouraged.
When they patch it they could well end up banning all steam accounts using it. It's against their T&C and they'd be within their rights.

btw, wouldn't know about bigger hitboxes or anything (i let that to the guys who can prove/disprove it lol), but killing enemies sure is easier than in mw1. Now yes, lower HP is surely a factor, but i also think there is something else going on. Sometimes im surprised myself how i got some of the kills. its like "spray randomly in a direction (of course where i saw an enemy, come on lol) and get kills like that.
i dunno ...

According Steam's forums you can get a VAC ban because of modifying the config file so use that at your own risk.

There's nothing wrong with the shield. First of all, your feet are always exposed (even when crouching) and it doesn't protect against grenade launchers (probably not semtex either).
