I finished all the SpecOps missions with a friend, and must admit, the most fun were the gunship+soldier missions. But still, way too short. You can finish the while thing in 2 hours if you work together properly. I would have preferred an Arab Zombies mode, or campaign coop of course. |

Or maybe the key was stolen. Seen someone saying (can't remember if it was here) they got faulty media with the game so returned and exchanged it but kept the key.
If they then sold that key they'd be the ones fucking you over not steam.
And I'm sure there's many other ways the key could be stolen, quite possibly on a larger scale.
Region locking is a longshot.
I bought from outside my region BTW and still working fine.

My no key was wotking until last night... before uninstalling , ugh glad didn´t bought it - its fun but wares out prety fast.
I expect more from a PC game. And was expecting more form an IW Cod game.
We are in 2009 and this is PC game of the year! hope not. It can be GOTY in all platforms but defenetly not for PC.
PS: The hitbox is defenetly off or maybe is balanced-for- lag, might as well put autoaim in it.

Once it activated on Steam i t's not possible to activate it again.

Nah, but there's Scavanger (resupply from dead enemies). I'll try using it and see how it holds up against bandolier. |
Scavenger Pro works like bandolier, starting you out with max ammo.

It wasn't a dedicated server.... it was just a standard IWnet, ranked, match with tweaked cvars and other rules.

The game still works with the "old" version (pre-patch) online. However you're playing against other pirates mostly.

using my 1.059 install, i get now 0/0 players (it just keeps searching) i also did get a new "playlist" update, so thats probably why  (before that, i was able to see people, alltho way less, but it wouldn't find me a game (location maybe ?). |
The only way to play it is just to wait for disconnection fix or simply buying the game. |
It takes a while to find games tho, took me around 3-5 minutes but it works. I just played a round until the host decided not to play cause he sucked bad (his score was like 4-21).
But the thing does work, although you are playing against other pirates (or at least very likely) and that's why it's taking so long to find games. |

Actually, you can still play online using version 1059; it takes a lot longer for the matchmaking system to find games, though. Eventually, it will.

I just reinstalled the game to go back to 1.059 and now coop works again,although I never had a chance to try it with anyone
