valve guy just confirmed that if you bought from onlinekeystore you're pretty much fucked, since it's not a "legitimate reseller"

Enough with the "Sabin raging" fucking BULLSHIT. Ok? I bought my key from G2Play and it works flawlessly, 31.5hrs of gameplay - no problems with Steam or the key. The game is awesome and I advise EVERYONE to buy it, though buy it cheaply from an established key store rather than the ass-rape Steam prices.

I did contact the seller (was some dude on ebay selling the key for around $33, and from China), he was quick to refund, so I guess its all cool, though I have to scavenge a new key. Though I am kind of worried about online key shops. The exact same thing happened to WaW for me. Bought key online and then after a while it stopped working. Though it was not steam, rather their own service.
Edit: hmm clicking that link sends me to a page where I can see my key, I wonder if everyone else can see it. Though I really dont care since its been activated and doesnt work anymore.

I still like steam, I really never have problems with it, it just works for me. And I was actually half expecting something like that to happen. This is a huge game, and banning few people will not change anything. My hands are itching to play it, I see on amazon people sell $40 retail boxes, so I might get one of those.
Edit: Yeah it is pretty ironic that people who pirated have no problems playing online, and yet people who spent money on it, get shifted like that. I think they should check their priorities.

this morning i e mailed them that my key was corrupt but i didnt knew it was banned until now. ill send them another e mail tomorrow. you keep me updated too
