I think the hopes for the new/workin MP crack are almost todally gone.
ps. For me I would buy this game for max 20€ or less because it just is not worth the full price.

Hi all and nice to meet you. As one of the many that decided to finally buy the game and because i didn't want to redownload the game after downloading the Skidrow version once I find this one that may help some of you that might buy it too. Sorry if it's been reposted before.
Installing from Disc instead of Steam
1. Close Steam (File > Exit).
2. Go to the Start button and select Run (XP) or type Run in the Search box and choose Run from the list (Vista).
3. In the Run window type:
"C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.exe" -install E:
Replace E: with the CD/DVD drive you are installing from if is not correct.
Replace C:\Program Files\Steam if your Steam installation is not in the default location.
4. Press OK. Your installation should continue from the disc.

Maybe it's just piracy prevention update, would be shameful writing something like that in a log. First update changes were not secret.

After logging about 48 hours into the multiplayer - I'm bored to pieces.
Basically it boils down to "camp or die".
You've got the option of either playing regular - and being subject to queer class loadouts like the ever more popular "Knifer" (Marathon/Lightweight/Commando) that knifes you even after having 2 or 3 bullets stuck into him at close range....
Or you put up with Hardcore which nixes the above mentioned problem but puts an even greater emphasis on the almighty "camp or die" mechanic.
Good while it lasted I suppose, but no real reason to keep playing.
