Are there any promising new mods out for the game , besides the DLCs ?
EDIT: Ah and btw , is there an alternative download link for the Wardens Keep DLC? The Mediafire one dosent work anymore, at least for me.

Nothing REALLY big yet of course but lots of goodies:

Character Respecialization is great as well, if you don't like the way your companions have been auto-leveled.
Storage Chest in camp is awesome... wouldn't want to do without.

I love playing a (elf) mage... So much I cannot imagine having so much fun playing a warrior or rogue.

I am not even half way (around 20%) so I do not have all the characters yet, but my team consists of me as mage, Alistair, Sten and leliana, allthough she has been switched with Wynne and Zevran, but since Leliana is with me the logest, I just might keep her.
Don't like a big rock, hate that bitchy witch and a dog in your team? No thanks, I'll let him roam my campsite...

I think I'm near the end now, and yeah, the game is pretty good. Could have had a bit more depth to the character system though. Feels a bit shallow compared to say DnD 3E games. I'm not much of a min maxer though so it's not that big a complaint. As far as dialogue and choices, this definetely is the peak of Bioware (though ofc not on the level of Black Isle or Troika). While there are a bunch of your typical smokescreens - choices or dialogue that's mostly flavor - there are quite a bit of stuff that actually matters. IMO this is at least as good as BG1, and even close to BG2 though the focus is more on story than exploration. If they release more *worthwhile* content (say on the level of Mask of the Betrayer for NWN2) I'll probably buy it, otherwise we'll hopefully get some decent fan made content.

Well the mediafire download dosent work (for me). It says "connecting" after i click on the download button but after 1min or so chrome gives me a " Oops! This link appears to be broken."

Well it's most likely just a glitch on MF at the moment, because if it was deleted or otherwise inaccessible - MF would say so.
Run a G.search for "Dragon Age DLC decrypt" - and you'll find a batch file download that will decrypt the original DLC (which you can find in the post directly above the one in my sig)

Considering PC version has infinitely better textures than the console version I doubt that. Just get the HD texture packs.

It's true, I also heard that someone pressed DEL accidentaly and killed some files so a few quests are missing (near the ending)

is the ranger class strong? i mean the pets he cant cast are they worth it? and can he only have one pet actice at a time?
still dont know whether to play a mage or a bow ranger in my second playthrough

They weren't accessible at all yet since they were listed, AFAIK
Maybe you want the HD Textures.
EDIT: HDR Textures are available now as well.
But I don't see any reason why anyone would want them.

Damn I can't get enough of this game, I'm at 73% completion and at about 95 hours total across various characters. Hoping to get something like 80-85% completed before I call it quits.

i played a bow ranger/bard on my 1st playthough, the bear saved my butt on numerous occasions. including tanking the last 1/4 on one of the dragons when alistair went down and wynn's resurrect was on cooldown.
loved every minute of it.
i never used the spider (about pee'd myself the first time i summoned it) , but did use the wolf/bear. get all 4 talents, it will make your pets stronger and will give them access to more abilities.
In life, ones success is not determined by their wealth, but by how many attend their funeral..

same as for retail - except all execx are in steam folder not inside program files

Ok, I'm gonna start a new game - all chick party. If I make my main into a sword/shield warrior with high con, taunt and the other aggro skill, spec Leliana as archer, Morrigan as nuker, and the healer woman as extra nuker/disspeller would highest difficulty be beateable you think?
