1. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (single player is the most awesome FPS experience in years, if not ever, multiplayer 50 hours played and I'm still hooked; so bite me butthurt dedicated server whiners).
2. Resident Evil 5
3. Batman: Arkham Asylum
4. Borderlands
5. Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II
6. Prototype
I didn't play Dragon Age or other PC RPGs from this year yet, so my list isn't final.

COD4 SP campaign is still the best around for me. The briefings, the music, the voices... even the easy-to-follow story develops way better than MW2.
When I beat MW2 SP2 i was like "meh", a great shooter but it certainly didn´t surprised me as COD4 did in 2007.
Not trolling btw, I just think that MW2 SP was clearly overhyped. MP on the other hand is great, insanely addictive. I play some matches every night since I bought it. Nevertheless, the whole content feels like an expansion and to make things worse, it costs 60 bucks lol.
