Reinstalled the game, made sure all the profile and any remnant files were deleted, using mini image and YASU i still have freezes, definately an ATI graphics issue.
512Mb 4850, 2.33Ghz Quad, Windows 7 64bit.

Well, not ATI either, works fine here (and there were people with nVidia also with this issue; look a few pages back).

Yeah, I don't know, but ATI+windows7 seems to be a bad combination for this game.

i know about 10 guys with ati and xp that played the game without problems and pretty much all with w7 had different issues

It works fine on my win7 x64. Nvidia 191.07 drivers.
Let's narrow it down, this is interesting.

This game is a joke, I mean, I know it is only a game and on top of that an action game so historical realism doesn't really matter, but some things are really just too fucked up. If they decided to set the game in ww2 Paris with a semi realistic scenery and such, they should at least set same basic story elements right. Instead you are freelly driving across the peacefull German-french border in summer 1940 as the WW2 didn't even start yet, German tanks look strange to say the least (they remind me on actual french heavy tanks), German soldiers are wielding assault rifles SG1944(!) in 1940 and so on. It doesn't help the immersion with all these little details all done worng...

It's "reinvisioned" ... think of it as an alternative version of the past, come on ... !!
