I was only driving Donington like crazy these days... Messed with the setup a little, now i have new hot lap:

lol. You'r nuts to even attempt to play with keyboard. Are you playing on arcade or simulation?

Playing on simulation, automatic gear shifting + Steering help only.
But I really practiced this Donington track, learned every curve and all Smile

im having a little bit of a problem. Ive installed all the correct files. I have 1 dvd burner on my IDE 1, and 2 other cdrw/dvd on IDE2. I use starfoce nightmare to disable all the cdrom drives, i load the mini image with daemon tools with all emulation options enabled. The game checks the disk for ~2 mins, and then says invalid disk. Now i use the same method with Toca Race Pro Driver, and all works fine.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how i can make it work for FIA GTR?

Do you have the Patch 1.2 and Hotfix 1.2.3.0 installed ? When i have them installed, then my FIA GTR won´t run..

Patches for GTR bring you new cars and tracks but also update StarForce drivers so some people have problems running the game after the patch.. Sorry, you will have to install the game without patches or buy it! Smile

out of curiosity, does anyone that has gotten the game to work with latest drivers have a cd drive as slave on IDE1, or better yet, list ur IDE configuration.

I have all the patches installed, using StarFuck 0.83, game works fine..
SATA HDD,
HDD on 1st Master,
HDD on 1st Slave,
DVDRW on 2nd Master...

Same here. Works fine with different configs using Starfuck 0.81b
2xHD on primary, and 2xDVD-RW on secondary or,
2xHD on primary, 1xHD on secondary master + 1xDVD-RW on secondary slave.
Different machines, even a laptop.

Could it be they dumped StarForce3 protection for international release scheduled for this month? I hope so, but even if not, releasing unprotected demo will help crack the game later! Very Happy

Hello guys , i got the starfck thing to work , but now my GTR game says , a file is damaged. When i start up the game i gives me this weird error message.GT2.expo is missing or something i think.Do i need to re download or can i fix it? Crying or Very sad

Damn, can't get the thing to run, here's what I did:

1.) copied the update, miniimage etc. into the iso of cd2, thereby creating a new iso file
2.) burned both iso files
3.) installed game
4.) used starfck nightmare to disable all cd roms
5.) mounted miniimage in dtools 3.47
6.) entered cd-key from info file
7.) after ages of checking I get invalid disk, please make sure blabla....

I also tried with no cds in cd drive and applied the hotfix, then tried again, then tried installing the update, then tried again ---> all a No go Sad

Can anyone help? Is it Starforce Nightmare that's not working? Can anyone confirm that Starforce Nightmare works with this release (I successfully used it for a number of other MI releases)?

Am using XP, Radeon 9500, 512 ram, 2,5 GHz Athlon, SB Live

The game never worked here with Starforce Nightmare, always crashing when loading a race...and it needs to be mounted with Alcohol 120% not deamon

I haven't bothered to try Starforce Nightmare but I do know that the old version of Starfuck (Nov 2004) and the image mounted in Daemon works just fine for me.

Maybe see if you can get hold of it ant try it to see if it's Nightmare causing your problem or something else.

One little question... I have a .iso file (i think they split both CDs into 1 file)...

But... I dunno exactly HOW to use StarF*ck... there are too many files Razz

Like "primary_all_ide_agressive.bat" or "primary_all_ide.bat"... What should I do ??

'Cuz with StarForce Nightmare... it's easier Very Happy only clicking in the right button and that's all Razz

There's another file in the StarF*ck folder... "rbi32.exe" and a folder "program" with the "StarFuck.exe"...

I'm completely LOST Sad and I wanna play FIA GT but dont wanna make mistakes....

To see if you can help... I have:

Primary IDE = [Master] 1 HDD (Windows and Appz)
[Slave] 1 DVD-ROM

Secondary IDE = [Master] 1 DVD-RW
[Slave] 1 CD-RW

SATA - 1 HDD (Dump)

*BTW, to play ToCA 2 is better to use StarF*ck or StarForce Nightmare?

Cool ! Made FIA GT work!!! Very Happy

Since I don't understand German, I couldn't use the StarF*ck I had... It was in German...

So, I decided to use StarForce Nightmare... It worked like charm Smile

Later I'll try with ToCA 2... but I think it will work.. now it's time to test OTHER cloned version Razz

It keep asking for the disc labelled Race Driver 2 :/

Not that error with the protection screen.... that blue one... a "normal" window... What should I do?

How exactly did you get FIA GTR to work? Could you please post an exact step-by-step you did? (Auch in deutsch möglich).

I, on the other hand, did NOT have problems installing Toca Race Driver 2:

- used starforceclean.exe to uninstall any remaining staforce protection
- Mounted *.mds in DaemonTools 3.47
- Installed game (full)
- Toca asked to reboot pc, so rebooted pc
- disabled cd channel in starforce nemesis
- mounted miniimage *.mds file in daemon tools 3.47
- started game
- entered cd-key
- played

Unfortunately I forgot to try out the included update 1.2 but it says in the info that that works too...

what i did to get this one working:

-install it with all updates
-unmount everything
-run starforce nightmare (disable your roms)
-download GTR.Fia.GT.Racing.Game.GERMAN-NCRYSO.Crack
-do what nfo says (rename orig exe in GTR_new and place the crack exe (gtr.exe) in same folder)
-start GTR.exe

had same prob before using this release (checking disk, which wouldnt be recognised as the real one)

this setup works for me. and btw this game owns big time.. if you have a logitech momo force wheel! Very Happy

guess i will buy it for online competition.

Still haven't seen the International Release around. It should be available in Europe I've heard, with Patch 1.3 and completely in English. Waiting for that to pop-up, as this starfkkk just keeps messing up things... Smile

A little help?

I've got two sets of ISO's, I downloaded several different versions of the Mini-Image, which all turned out to be the same size, as an indication that they are all valid...

I got StarFuck .83, Alchohol and Daemon Tools...

I can't seem to get this game to work.

I install from the ISO's
I run StarFuck, disable the IDE, run the patcher...
Whether I load the mini image, or the full one, from Daemon Tools or Alchohol,...
whether the game is patched to 1.2 or not (I haven't even tried 1.4 yet),
I still get the same error on starting, after the disk is checked.

What am I doing wrong?

Also, what's the status with the patches. Does anyone get 1.4 to work ok?

I just got TrackIR and a new soundcard, so I'm looking forward to giving this game a go, it sounds like the TrackIR support is good.
