sometimes it feels good to pirate...now even steam delayed to 12/8
Edit: OK, it looks like steam just changed to match the retail release date but you can actually already download it from steam (or maybe it is out just for UK steam users...)

I followed the advice of somebody over at the official codemasters forums and unplugged the second xbox-controller from my machine and it fixed all the issues with being unable to create an auto-save file

Correct, the version that game with the game did not work @ least for me and several others. I have legit games that use GFWL and when installing DiRT2 it updates to version 3.something. Could't create a save profile without uninstalling version 3

oh yeah , the ultimate rally experince
i'm at level 21 right now , and i'm probably gonna leave it there
the game is alright , too easy tough , the really REALLY americanized the whole series with this , it's fucking stupid , they should really drop the Colin McRae title cause this aint rallying .
music , graphics (shift > dirt 2) are alright , but all the buttkiss is really stupid and annoying , oh and team-mate rallys are a drag , you can win everything but still loose cause your team-mate finished last or some shit like that.
overall enjoyable experince , but DIRT was more arcade than rally , this is even worse.
i really do miss proper rally sims like Richard Burns Rally , Colin McRae up to DiRT , Mobil 1 Rally Championship, Rallisport Challenge , Rally Trophy

i have an issue. whenever i change the games resolution it reverts back to my desktop rez everytime i restart the game? it just wont stay at 1600x1200, it always goes back to 1024x768. the rest of my game saves though, and i didnt have to revert to GFWL 2.0
so could someone maybe set the game to a diff rez from their desktop and see if the game saves that rez please. i would be very, very greatfull!

what Dirt 2 is not worse then Dirt 1, its about the handling isnt it? and that's where Dirt 2 is better...

I can't find a download link for GFWL 2.0,can someone help me out?
For some reason I had no option to create an offline savegame,go figure...I'm not even sure I had Live games on this PC anyway

I was half kidding. But I wish it did support it. I get 50 fps in 1920x1080 with everything cranked up in shit dx9.
I have i7 920, 6 gigs 1600 ram, single PSB 295 card installed onto intel 80g SSD. At that low frame rate I feel like I'm back on my old rig HAHAHA.

It has to be there. Make sure you scroll down on one of the dialog boxes. They made if very difficult to spot. See here...
