your all easily pleased I guess lol,

the pvp in GW was as a small cramp space where u all hammer your guessed skills to put in your limited slots lol. come on its rpg even at a push.. might as well called it MW2 with smaller pvp areas..

someone stand up and be counted here and not such a fanboi... Tell it as it is.. Smile

No mate, the limited skill slots is what made the game so complex in the first place and there's NO guessing when it comes to choosing a build ! At least play for more than a few hours before suggesting that devs should do things differently because you're stating your first impressions on the game while the learning curve can take a few months, even more!

The game wasn't as geared torward PVP in the beginning of GW as it was near the end.

That's debatable and mostly because, while you could jump right into pvp, most people still started with the campaign - myself and everyone i know included. Even now the majority are pve'rs. Btw check the name of the game;p

I never liked the PVP personally.

Thing that got me to stop playing was the combat started to get really redundant, battles just didn't feel epic. Especially when im fighting 2 tailed bugs and plants that ironically shot fire.

What REALLY killed it was the lack of trading armor n shit. The fact you spend all this time trying to get armor crafted that was such a burden to make, then it becomes useless and you can't trade it really turned me off, but I do understand there reasoning for it.

Its not going to work. You cannot maintain a huge persistent world without monthly fees.

This game is too ambitious. it will bite the dust like most MMOs have been lately

Are you an idiot? Guild Wars was launched in 2005 and after 4 years it works better than ever with 6 million players second only to WoW with 11 million.

Well this is looking pretty cool, if SW:TOR disappoints there will be something to look forward to. Of course I assume this will come out after TOR but you never know.

After the amazing surprise of the first game, this is all-but-certainly on my to buy list. My only complaint about GW is the way the "expansions" work Sad I can't be one of the new character classes from, say, Nightfall and still start in the original game. Shame.

Well... you can always travel

I stopped playing gw one day before the release of eye of the north. My account had been hacked and several months later i was able to get it back but my hype was already gone. In fact i haven´t played eotn with any char. I´m still rank8 and have 10 pve chars with 15k armor. I have tons of gifts lols. My warrior got his 5th present a few weeks ago -no green though Sad

Well I wanted to start a new character, from the expansion choices, at the very start of the game -- which means the main story just before, and just after, the Fall. Sadly I couldn't do that and was instead dumped in some Oriental town :\ I've not played it since, lol.

+Edit+

Oh SNAP!! You can dual-wield in GW2?! Oh I am SO buying this. The Assassin was such a let down, letting you dual-wield daggers only and even then they counted as a single weapon.

You can read a lot about GW2 on their official webpage. www.guildwars2.com There are articles about how combat system works, about events (seems too good to be true, and if it will be half as good as they say it will be a blast), and today they have release article about traits - which is something like talents in most other MMO.

Oh and as I see noone put an introductory video of Elementalist class, so here you go. http://www.guildwars2.com/en/the-game/professions/elementalist/

I love GW and arena.net, the shit's not perfect, but I love how much appreciation and focus they put into their games. They love them and it shows imo. To me they are very much the old blizz and the new blizz could learn a thing or two from them.

The more I see of GW2, the more I want it.

The combat system looks very interesting, especially if blocking with a shield is a player action and not something that happens automatically if you are not performing another action.

the blocking you see in the video at the end? that's an equipment skill and player activated.

You block incoming projectiles and protect everyone that stands behind you. That could mean that there is no traditional targeting system like in WoW for example. That would be great.

Yeah well, we'll see actual gameplay videos soon enough. Arenanet will be on gamescon in Colegne, Germany in late august with live demo, as well as on PAX. Due to this I wouldn't bee too much surprised if we'd see Guild Wars 2 being released on April 2008, 2011 -- six years after GW1 launch. Or at least public/closed beta.

I really hope that the game isn't like GW1 because that shit is awful. I hate not being able to interact with the enviroment.

I bought all the expansions, started playing and was lost half of the time, and fighting the creatures was not fun at all. I spent too much time backtracking and running around enviroments that were pretty but not interactable. Why can't I swim, or fly around the land?

Basically I wanted it to be WoW with realistic graphics.
