stop dreaming deadok. It's much easier to develop games on the consoles.
All the different configurations on the pc is a huge obstacle for pc game developers to overcome. Many pc games often have some problems with some systems even when the game is done. This proves that it's much harder to develop games for the pc than it is for the console, so much to consider before it will work on every system.

Good edit after the fact asshat. If I did want to make myself 'feel' bigger, I would post a picture gloating.
Check back around midnight.

woozap wrote: | Well sorry Claws, but to me it seems that the console piracy scene is bigger and better then before. Console games get pirated before store dates, protections are virtually non-existant. (San Andreas for example) Only thing you need is a good mod-chip.
Which is easy to get if you enter 'modchipping for xbox/ps2 in country of your preference' @google.
The companies should not blame piracy for bad sales, but the quality of the product they produced and the price they tagged it! crap games get no sales good games get sales.
bnf, the starforce thing i was referring to is because of an earlier post in this thread when a guy mentioned starforce & securom worked together to make Securom v7. |
Stop dreaming, statistically speaking, console piracy is nothing compared to PC piracy. The profit developers make on their console game is exponentially larger than the profit made from that same game on PC. Now why would any developer in their right mind want to make PC games??? Count your blessings now, in the very near future one of two things will happen: Excellent copy protection will kill PC piracy and the majority of developers will go back to making PC games, or the PC game market will continue to shrink and will be equivalent to the Mac game market as it is at the current time. I hope it's the former and not the latter.
Now don't think I'm here trying to preach to all of you. I know perfectly well what this forum is for. What I am trying to say is what every release group usually advocates. If you like the game, buy it.

Hey, if he was dumb enough to get it on there in the first place (assuming its his comp), he deserves the 5 hours =)
If its not his comp. , its his responsibility to beat the shit out of the person who was responsible (while telling them to click no on prompts).
Will see how this turns out....something new at least. Sure it won't disappoint (hopefully the bugs aren't as prevelant as the reviewers spouted them to be).
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

Beh...damn peice of crap...if you've never encountered the new version of the vx2 malware you'd be surprised at how much of a pain it is to even try getting rid of. Beating the shit out of the guy would relieve so much...pleasure atleast.
So far I've had one CTD in Peragus, and a few slow downs with massive amounts of smoke. Other then that not too bad...the 'discovery' bit is nice...so is the subtle build in of how you played the last game.

Noone knows yet BB, as someone said before me: PC grps have been taking their time lately. If lucasarts ARE using securom5 and not something new i would expect the release to be out some time this week/weekend.
Just keep checking.

DJ...same bugs do not exist. The level-up bug that existed in the 1.03 patch does not exist in KoTOR2, I've managed to get my PC upto lvl 7 now. No crashes since the one last night...some slowdowns still. Needs a bit of optimization work...I'd say it's worth the buy tho. Out of 10 I'd give it a 9.
The make your own items is a very nice touch...so are they way they are built into the skill trees.
edit: clarity for the sake of it.

The european version is released on a single dvd right?
God I wish developers would stop copying their games on cds, often when a game is big as Kotor 2 you have to swap between half a dozen, and thats a real bitch.

I like it that the US versions are CD's and the EU DVD. When I buy a game I dont have to swap disks and when I download one I can burn them on cd's sins I dont have a dvd.
