Im running 1.51 I think and if you use wave patcher it doesnt really matter what firmware you are running. You can patch a wave 5 game down to wave 1 if you wanted to, pretty sure anyway. If youre banned just wave patch the games you want to play while you wait for the LT firmware. Thats what I plan to do anyway.

One important thing for people who patch games is that you must have update installed that comes on a disc which you patch. If your xbox doesn't have that update, and game asks to update, you hit OK, you can fuck up your HDD real bad.

I didn't know that either so thanks for that. Makes sense though, just never thought about it and only recently started patching games.
Quick question, with this LT firmware thats coming out. Does it provide anything (other than wave 4 booting) extra if you've already been banned?

If you try to run the update from a patched wave 4 game the console will enter into a continuous update loop. Never heard this " you can fuck up your HDD real bad " stuff before. Must have missed that one sorry

Word. This is exactly what happens. All it needs usually is the latest dashboard update.

sorry for not reading all posts.. but i burned the activation disc on a dual plus disc on 1 layer and rebooted the 360 with the disc in and pressed play dvd on dashboard with it in. and it just sais to play this disc put it in an xbox 360 console.. could someone pls help me with that or do i have to make the wave 4 to a wave 3 ?
sorry again if it has been asked before but couldnt really find a good answer

the update is just the latest updated dashboard? i bought a new 360 today so they said it should have the latest update.. but when i put in new modern warfare it wants to update it but thats just with ix 1.6 and no bootdisc or wave changes i just tried it

Didn't say HDD fuckup happens every time, but it DID happen to some people.

the wait for this liteon firmware is killing me, can someone tell me if patching the games will work on any firmware? i currently have the one that uses the boot cd for wave 4 (cant remember the revision)
and if for some reson i have to buy a new flashed 360 down the line then would my patched games still work on it?

The next time i flash mine i'm sticking with the older firmware, but just using the i don't give a shit addition. Wish i would have done that from the beginning. I've never went online with mine since the mod and don't really care if it gets banned. Not sure why i bothered with stealth firmware. Suppose i didn't realize it would cause this many headaches.

Ive already been banned so I was never able to put in the dashboard update..is it worth waiting for the LT firmware or should I just go ahead and update to 1.61..I was going to wait for LT but now I hear how you have to pay for it and send it in to get it flashed which I am not willing to do, I dont send in my XBOX to total strangers, I dont mind paying for it, just not sending it in..so should I just get firmware 1.61 and be done with it..I wanted LT because I thought I would never have to flash again but since Ive already been banned, I can just update to 1.61, and always patch future games to work with it

Sounds good but my issue is that since I was banned I dont have the latest dashboard update, from what I hear, is necessary to make these games work..also, if I patch the games using that patcher program, do I have to run the game through abgx again(I know Im banned I just use that program to make sure the splitvid is legit and working) maybe I should update to 1.61, Id do it myself but I Have no idea how to update, I always pay someone to do it for me..sucks but what can I do

Does being banned prevent you from downloading the update manually putting it on a flash drive and updating that way? That's how i've always done mine.

I have a USB flash drive, where do I go and how do I put in the update..Ive always had updates put in through xbox live but since Ive been banned I obviously cant do that anymore

the most recent update..is this the one that has the twitter, facebook, and other stuff..I dont want to put in the wrong update

So this is the latest update then..because I dont have the twitter and all that stuff on my xbox..so just want to make sure this is the latest one..I dont want to put in the wrong one..I put it on my USB flash drive, I unzipped the file and I see the folder in there so I just put the folder in there and in that folder is another folder and in that contains the update

If your flash drive on your pc is drive g the path should be.
G:\$SystemUpdate_Fall09_8955\ <--- this should be the other folders.
If it looks like this
G:\$SystemUpdate_Fall09_8955\$SystemUpdate_Fall09_8955\ (other folders/update)
Then it's wrong 
There are really good directions on the site you downloaded the update from. I suggest just following those.

The update doesn't add Twitter and FB, you need to download them separately from Live. The update merely allows them to work with the console. I am glad for that, since it allowed me to avoid the evil that is Twitter and FB from invading my xbox.

It worked..turns out I had to reformat my flash drive(Since I had not used it in a while) the XBOX was not reading it correctly..and I dont appreciate being called a retard, I know how to read directions, it just was not reading the drive correctly
