I just read a couple of reviews about it praising it in all aspects and forms, and the truth is that I saw the trailers back in 2007, and the artwork was really unappealing, extremely colorful drawings with very thin bodies and extremely long legs among other things, so does the plot of the show really justifies it, is it really that good?

I just rewatched Code Geass again and probably will watch it again a year from now to remind me how fucking awesome it was...I thought story was rather interesting

definitely should see few episodes and decide it for yourself, action starts rather quick and you can see where its heading...

all hail le_douche!

the art style takes some getting used to... I didn't like it at first either.. just looked weird, but after a few episodes I didn't mind it anymore at all.

and yes, it's that good. it's just awesome. it blew me away. it is similar in some aspects to Death Note, and I order you to watch it now.

as I said in the anime thread, you need to beware of spoilers for this show. under no circumstances go anywhere to read anything about the characters because this show has some really crazy plot twists and you'd ruin it for yourself.

I pray to god that there will be more code geass in the future.

it's probably also worth noting that I didn't particularly enjoy the mecha combat, but even so, code geass is one of my favourite anime series, if not my favourite one (can't decide). so that should give you an idea of how fucking awesome the story is, if it makes you completely ignore everything you dislike Razz

Well, Evangelion is one of my favorite Animes, and it is a mecha based anime, but is also so much more that makes the mecha just part of the atmosphere.

+1
oh btw they coming out with a new “Code Geass -Lelouch of the Rebellion-” project

Code Geass -Renya of the Dark-

Left: The Mysterious Man
Center: Renya
Right: Reefuu C.C

“The new project, ‘Renya of the Dark,’ will be an episode within the ‘Code Geass History.’ There will be stories from two different eras in the same world. The anime featured the ‘Lelouch of the Rebellion’ chapter, and we see this as the ‘Renya of the Dark’ chapter.” This “Code Geass” will be expressed through manga.

The stage is the Edo Era. Renya and his friend meets C.C. and face fate head-on. “We will write the epic of Renya with the two main themes that are present in ‘Code Geass’: ‘What does it mean for man to live?’ and ‘What exactly makes me who I am?’” The next movement of “Code Geass” has finally begun to move. “We still have many other chapters of the ‘Code Geass History’ that are in the works, so stay tuned for future announcements!”

nice
there seems to be a lot more code geass stuff but it's only manga.
I hope they'll eventually continue it in anime form though.
