No not error send report as such, however first time I got a firewall allow/not allow dialogue box come up from Win7 and or XP. I allowed the game local network access only for LAN play.
Maybe the people that are having problems with the Outlaws fix are trying to run the game while Steam is running?
Earlier I ran the game with steam running using the client.dll I had from the demo and steamup, but that method does not allow the more current updates. The game unpatched does have it's fair share of problems.
Both my Sons have this steam POS game, 1 as the Steam gifted USA eBay uncensored DL version and the other as a retail DVD I bought for him through eBay-UK. I extracted all the files from the DVD using the Pirategay Simpack exe and l4d2. bat to a folder named anything you want. I deleted the Russian folder from the left 4 dead 2 directory,followed the info given by Outlaws and applied their files, run a shortcut from the L4D2.exe to the desktop and away it played!
I was really pleased that it worked WITHOUT valves BS dictating Steam garbage. If it were up to me I would NEVER buy a valve steam game, but that's just me, not my 2 Sons opinions obviously.

A note from OUTLAWS about their repack, extracted from the nfo of Saira.v1.1.1.READ.NFO-OUTLAWS:

Well I haven't done that since I don't even have had access 2 my home PC, but that's exactly the order in which I understand the things should be done after reading their original nfo.
Specially since in their 1st. step, they cleared "extract all files into installation directory" (they are refering here to the update), and as 2nd. step they stated "copy all content from /crack directory"...
So is you'll overwriting the original files twice (the first time with their updated files, the 2nd. time with the crack .exe + the .dll)

the game is MADE for MP.....

Loving survival this time around. Playing with Perkmod, me and my friends pretty much have "classes" we go with. I always go with faster reloading and running speed, while using a GL and Deagle to take out tanks quickly. Others go with perks to revive teammates faster, more health etc.
Revisting No Mercy and the other old campaigns is also great fun, with the new weapons and infected.

Oh wow, so I just played the first level of dead center to see if it was working. I arrived at the safehouse and thought, hey lemme go taunt and kill some more special zombies, and after killing a few boomers/chargers i went back to the safehouse. Right as I'm about to go inside the hideous spitter zombie pops out RIGHT IN MY FACE. I guess that's what you get for taunting and trying to fuck with the director

You don't unlock it, it just spawns.
RaeWon, I'm guessing he has the german version of the game, which has some CS:S weapons. |
no way..i don't have the german one for sure!
and the weapons i wrote are extremly RARE respawn in game

They only spawn in the german game. You're playing with someone else who has the german version.

No. If someone in the match has the bat, it will spawn in every saferoom.

If you pre-ordered it, bats will spawn every match you play. If they don't, I dunno.

Hmm doesn't work here.
I installed Razor release, copied Razor1911.exe/rzr-init.exe from the dvd to the install folder even if they were already there, ran rzr-init.exe.
From the Outlaw repack I then ran L4D.2.0.0.0.To.2.0.0.6.exe extracted to the installed directory. I then copied left4dead2.exe to \Left 4 Dead 2 and client.dll to \Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\bin.
When I start the game, I see the intro video, then it crash and say "Could not load library client".
edit: I think the rzr-init step should be bypassed, I'll re-install and try again without doing it. BTW, Razor should include an un-installer too.
edit2: Yeah it works if you don't run rzr-init.exe, and steam is closed. Unfortunately I got to the second level and it crashed halfway though.

Seriously outlaw repack always kick me out to desktop... Am I the only one? I can't play a game which keep crashing.

yeah someone posted that a few days ago or so.
I also found out that melee weapons are overpowered against tanks before I saw that.
Was doing the melee only achievement with friends of mine, and we all ran up to the tank and he was on the ground after hitting just 1 of us.
A tank can't possibly get rid of all 4 before he's dead when you all run at him with melee weapons, preferably from different directions and at the same time. you can't lose.

baseball bats = preorder
counterstrike knife, mp5 and sniper rifle = german version
those weapons will only spawn if a player with the appropriate version is in the game.
