nope , after I beat them down they keep moving on the ground. And everybody keeps referring to them as dead.

If it makes you feel any better just assume that they die a few minutes after you leave them from internal bleeding or something. I think it's fairly easy to recognise that as soon as an enemy has their health reduced to zero they are for all intents and purposes 'dead'. I have to admit though that one thing I liked about the first game was that when an enemy was beaten to the ground you could still execute them with the hidden blade, that's gone in the sequel.

I completed it last weekend. And the fact that I even completed it is a very good sign, since i didn't really like the first Smile I've even collected everything except im missing 49 feathers. It's no fun collecting them :/

Definately a good game, wich sometimes makes me want to rip my goddamn hair out because of the damn controls Razz The A.I can be a little buggy sometimes too, but for me it was never game-breaking.

Yeah I started playing on the 360, but I really want to play it on the PC, so started playing AC1 again instead, and... It completely sucks compared to this sequel. Stupid delayed PC release. Crying or Very sad

Ubisoft Reveals Assassin's Creed II DLC Plans

http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/articles/105/1050735p1.html

Quote:
The first DLC episode, Battle of Forli, is planned for release in January, while the second, Bonfire of the Vanities, hits a month later in February.

Probably will make it in the PC version for free (possible March release). I can't stand controls on the pad anyway, K&M ftw.

Okay, I had to pause the game just to post about this criticism, but here goes.

You spend a lot of time throughout the game completing these elaborate puzzles in order to get the Assassins seals so you can unlock Altair's armour, then at the end of the game you merely 'buy' his sword, The Sword of Altair, from any Blackmsith throughout the land.

Wtf, did the developers just think "Ah fuck it, can't be arsed doing anything special with it"?

How many 'Swords of Altair are there exactly? How is it these blacksmiths just happen to have it in stock? Talk about a cop out!

After all the trouble you went through for the armour you'd think they'd do something for the sword. I mean, it's the fucking Sword of altair for fuck sake, it's not some two bit piece of metal!

Not quite as retarded as the second half of the Vatican level. You spend the first half killing everything in your path, then all of a suidden it's "Remain Undetected". Um, why?

It begins where the first one ends, but then there wasn't much story in the first game.
I'd say you'll easily understand everything, as they explain most things. The focus lies more on the story of Ezio in Italy than on Desmond.

DLC details with Patrice Diselets showing new footage and explaining what DLC is about.

http://www.joystiq.com/2009/12/16/assassins-creed-2-dlc-detailed-fills-in-missing-chapters-adds/

Pretty cheap IMHO, so there's a huge chance it will come in PC version for free. Smile

DLC content from AC2 is scrapped from the normal release, confirmed by UBISOFT DEVELOPER, CREATIVE DIRECTOR OF ASSASSIN'S CREED 2. Laughing

Quote:
The other cut, the one many Assassin's Creed II players have figured out by now, was content for which development would be backburnered and later re-prioritized and issued as the game's forthcoming January and February downloadable content. These would be the game's marked but missing 12th and 13th chapters, more or less. "I felt that, 'Okay, there were too many things to do and to finish.' So we said, 'Ok, let's take a portion of the game that was planned and we'll give it in DLC.' We'll remove some stress to the team while giving more to fans and people who like Assassin's Creed." Desilets liked the idea of giving the game added life and content beyond its initial release, saying it's something that he regrets not offering for Assassin's Creed — "I feel like we left people alone afterwards." —and given how big the game was and how it had gotten bigger during development, he didn't think most players would feel shortchanged. "I think we gave them so much content that they cannot say that we owe them, that we didn't give them a lot for their 60 bucks."

Guess what console users have to pay for, PC users will get for free. Laughing Not new, not new at all.

GOTY don't know, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Reading that destructoid review makes want to take a shit in the guys face. I agree with some of the short comings but he is just a fat attention whore. Too bad I fell for it too since I rarely ever visit the site. Razz

Amazing how different tastes can be.

Personally I thought the game was mediocre. I would grade it 2/5.

Destructoid review was pretty spot on, imho. It´s just someones opinion, as is goty from teamxbox, how strange that call might be considered to be.

Well, opinion is an opinion for sure, but if someone rates AC2 4.5/10, how is he going to rate Rouge Warrior? Or Wet?
