I think artificialaiming is one of the bots - but keep in mind, this game uses a modified Quake 3 engine (as far as the hackers are claiming) and can just rehash the same hacks that have been around forever.

Well, it's a very similar engine to Call of Duty 2 with a somewhat upgraded rendering engine, which was in itself a Quake 3 engine modification for better rendering capabilities. They must have left a lot of the internal logic and networking code intact... :\ |

you can
1. Install Steam, original, no crack or patch.
2. Go to Store, next Game Demos
3. Search for Zero Gear Demo ( http://store.steampowered.com/app/18800/)
4. Download and Install Zero Gear Demo.
Part 2
1. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\zero gear (this folder depend where you install the steam)
2. Click on right button on ZeroGear.bat and click on Edit or put to open in Notepad.
cd cod6
START iw4mp.exe
1. Edit the ZeroGear.bat like the example above.
2. In the first line “cd cod6″ you change to the folder where you game installation are. For example cd “C:\Games\Modern Warfare 2″ , in case there are blank spaces on the name folder, you should use the “quotes”.
Part 3

Yea ive been playing it for 4 days or more. Level 44. Too bad zero gear beta is done, cant get keys no more. You can however use the Zero Gears Demo, or so i've heard. Still works for me.

you can basically use any demo / game... zero gear beta was nice because it allowed you access to the friends features (demos / freebees don't) and because you just needed to edit a bat file instead of compile an exe...

If You have game installed on another partition (example e:\games\modernwarfare2) then You need to write it in bat file.
e:
cd e:\games\modernwarfare2
START iw4mp
Anyway, games are found but when try to connect, error message appears host count not migrate. I wonder how You avoid it.

Hmm, it is funny how silencer kills damage... for example... .50 cal. Barret is weapon for stopping light armored vehicles and is imba against personal. But.. when you put silencer in MW2 you need even 4 hits to kill someone... last time I've been playing on wasteland I shot 1 guy 3 times... and he was still running. I suppose he got bonus health on spawn but still.... this is JOKE.
And I also find shotties quite weak comparing to MW1 and SMG are OP. Vector simly pwnz.

When I try to do the Zero Gear trick above, I get:
Error during initialization
No IWD files found in /main
Wich is weird, since my MW2\Main folder contains alot of IWD-files.

MW2 is not balanced for realism! I mean, they put silencers on .50 cal and shotguns...

While not as effective I was under the impression that silencers for large calibre weapons (Including shotguns.) was possible albeit you'd probably still hear it though the muzzle flash should be minimized.

Nevermind, files were in the wrong folder.
Anyway, it works now. But the second match I played - cheater. Oh and it was so painfully obvious too. And that sucked balls ofcourse. Plus, smooth gameplay? Right. Lagging every now and then, oh how sweet!
FFFUUUUUUU - i really wanna buy the game, but I just cant make up my damn mind. Either I buy it for my unflashed 360, and I never have to worry about cheaters or lag (rarely i see lag in a X360 game), and I can play with the few friends who actually also bought it. But then theres the fact that it's a FPS, and im not very good at fast FPS'es like this with a controller..
PC - keyboard and mouse, but cheaters and lag every now and then.
Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck. Give me kb+mouse for my 360!

I agree Silenced Shotguns are lame, but a sniper with a silencer that's not weird.
