I also played it, its the Lighthouse Level. you start off at the coast, then go through a cave, didnt go any further.
The game looks just awesome, the objects are all covered in beautiful bumpmaps, the motions are great and there are funny dialogs again.
Graphically the game even beats Riddick!
Too bad the demo thats out doesnt work for most of the ppl, its 766mb packed and belongs to some Demo Disc.
The load times are pretty long tho and the quicksave function sucks because you cant quickload.
Anyways, one of the best games I've ever played. Smile

Well I got mine just using a certain torrent search engine. The download was seriously slow though. Im talking 10kb/s - 20kb/s. I had uploaded it five times over before I got done with the single download! lol

Yes its getting spread via Torrent (thats how I got it) and Newgroups.
The Demo is not even a group release, its iND and Demos are not allowed on you know what I mean anyways, so its hard to get it.
But you dont miss much, the game comes out pretty soon.

A bit more concerning the Demo, quoted from my posting @the torrent discussion:

The Demo is verrrrry buggy, at the end of the Stage, when I reached the Lighthouse, the screen suddenly went blue, then red then blue again, I couldnt save and when I died it couldnt load cause it said the savegame is corrupted. :rolleyes:

i liked how you can choose if you wanna go assault or stealth in the beginning.

maybe you could do this in pandora already but i skipped that one. but know im really looking forward to this. the gfx alone is almost a reason for playing this. Wink

Why does it ask you if you want to go assault or stealth at the start? What changes in the game? The AI? Or do you get a different set of weapons and gadgets depending on your choice?

A menu asking you how to play? How gay.
Just go havok when you play and you get assault Razz

The game shuld change on the fly with the actions you do, not from the beginning before you have even started :/

But still, I think it shuld be up to you to decide whenever you want what to do. Go stealth alittle and then go assault. But if some weapons (assault weapons) are not available if you pick stealth this becomes impossible.

Have everything intact with weapons and everything and then let the player decide what he want to do, best way to do it in my opinion.
I might want to go assault at some point but since I prefear stealth I will pick stealth, and then I will loose the chanse on going assault :/


Maybe recommended is both stealth and assault in one?

well i chose assault now when i played last time.

i ran out of bullets. Smile

so to just shoot my way out doesnt work too well. but hey i had to try! well it wasnt ever meant to be played that way in the first place, so i guess thats only for frustrating situations when "talk" is out of the question. Very Happy

so my conclusion is: even if one choose the assault type guns/thingamajiggys its more rewardning playing it at a stealthier approach. or at least for some parts of it.

maybe the stealth option is for veteran players and will give higher scores or something btw after finnished levels? wasnt it something like this in the first ones in the serie?

You can choose your exact loadout, so you could have a mixture of stealth and assault. But it would be stupid to give you all the weapons, not to mention highly unrealistic.

Obviously I meant that wepons shuld be located throughout the level, from enemies and/or at locations on the mission. That way I can choose whenever I want, if I want to pick up some weapon some dude had and go assault or if I want to continue on my stealth mission.
