a dvds have only coding regions like 1 2 3 4 or 9
b dvds have only pal and ntsc regions
c b-ray has none of them
so the problem is not a region problem its the player that can't handle the format or your cpu
the link i gave help programs play other formats not handled normally
thats all

i was able to find a copy of powerd dvd ultra 9 that has a resetable region hack applied at all times so it works - and it actually works better on my system than total theatre - for example total theatre loses video when i transfer it to my third monitor - power dvd seems to work on all 3 but moves out of aero mode while on which is fine with me ... so i got it thank u guys@

Blurays are for the most part put out region free.
Doesn't mean there isn't the availability of region coding. The regions are letters instead of numbers, ie A B C.
Quote: | According to the Blu-ray Disc Association, "all Blu-ray Disc players...(and) Blu-ray Disc-equipped computer systems are required to support regional coding." However, "Use of region playback codes is optional for content providers..."[68] Some current estimates suggest 70% of available Blu-ray (movie) discs from the major studios are region-code-free and can therefore be played on any Blu-ray Disc player, in any region. |

spiderman is as usual retarded and without a clue. also if you've ever read a review of an import bluray you'd know they always mention region coding.
