Maybe, but from a social stand point it's more acceptable. I remember in Deus Ex the NSF mooks were so scared of Gunther they barley recognized him as a human anymore. He looked quite unnerving to me also.
.... and that would be a bad thing?
I'd much rather look like a terminator than some ridiculous go-go Gadget clone. Not that any of this will have any meaning on whether the game will actually be good or not; customization tho is always a plus in my book.
In this one it seems that mechanical augs are relatively new. So it makes sense they would at least try to make them look human. Social acceptance seems to be one of the main themes in this game judging by the teaser.
back on topic:
Damn, well be using the old, cluncky, metal augs that the other two agents in DX1 were so sensible about
And what's wrong with metal augs? Sure, we won't be as slick with the ladies, but maybe we'll finally get that "skul-gun"!
They were sensible in a way that they were being replaced by the new thing, new amazing tech and were getting obsolete and.... with a shortage of spare parts . The NFS guys were spooked because of the willing decision from them to become half machines, i mean thats spooky, even if u get a skull gun..
timechange01 you're now even more officially on top of my shitlist why the FUCK bump a topic of a very far in the future release game with the most retarded statements ever?
ohwait I'm just drunk and I got trolled but I still think you're slow (avoiding the R word here and therefore a tempban)
And now it can be even worse without Warren Spector
I think he is the soul of Deus EX!
Amen to that! I read an interview with Spector about 2 years ago, he was asked about his opinion on Deus Ex 3 and just shrugged his shoulders and sighed (I guess he didn't care).
Other than that, he admitted to Deus Ex 2 not being what it should have been partly because of his absence from the guys on the floor during most of the project since he had been "promoted" to some kind of executive position. Sad really
I couldn't even manage to play it first time around, never mind play it a second. I must have installed it three or four times, determined to give it another go. I'd get to the first ridiculously boxed in 'outdoor' area and realise how piss poor it was and uninstall it again. I don't think I've ever been as disappointed in a sequel as with that abortion of a game, really was a horrific attempt in comparison.
