Eh most likely it's going to shit because instead of doing anything I'll just spend the entire day playing games and wanking.

I have lost my original ME1 playthrough gamesave. Is there a way to download gamesaves for ME1 with the various choices already made so I can kind of 'recreate' my gamesave and import it over to ME2?
If not, I'll just load a trainer and power through the game (punch out that annoying reporter and shoot down that back talking Krogan!)

No other way than that. But keep in mind that you can punch the reporter again in ME2 if you haven't done so in ME1 and if you save Wrex you will meet him again and he is gonna be teh king of teh KroganZ..

Wasn't there something like a "background creator" sequence if you choose not to import your savegame? I thought I saw it mentioned somewhere that the game will have something like that in the beginning so that people who don't have a save can create the appropriate background for their new character.

ya it asks you some questions from what i understand on what happen in the first game
"If the player is not importing an existing Mass Effect save file, and creates a new game within Mass Effect 2, they will have an opportunity to make some of the decisions players could make in the original Mass Effect. This occurs early in the game, after some of the action had died down, when a character will ask a series of questions to test Commander Shepard's memory. Answers given to these questions will retroactively set the decisions Shepard made in the events of the first game."

Only the major choices can be determined in that though, it doesn't go through all the variables. For instance it'll assume you never met Garrus or Wrex.

That was quick... anyway, I found some savegames, and lucky for me, the male paragon made almost the same choices as I did when I played through the first one!
Anyway, if anyone wants them, here they are.

your save wont be valid. devs confirmed if you used anything besides console commands, and any "trainers" that changes hex keys, it will not be valid
