It may effect you negatively for the rest of your life?

Only imports your choices and gives you a ton of credits/building material based on how far into the game you got. I have like 150K credit from my save import. Other than that you are entirely free to choose another playstyle as well as recustomize your player (except for gender).
Maybe it's my XBOX, but this game has got me freezing and restarting and all kinds of crazy ass errors. Trying a re-burn, as I have no other options. Sucks too because the game was getting good. It is definitely Mass Effect 2.0 - I like how much more refined the different play styles are, and how they've gone out of their way to delineate the different roles. It is true you only get a few powers to start, but each power can be "evolved" into one of two greater powers, so there is definitely room to mix and match. Also the playthroughs dont have that ridiculous "Only Aliens", "Only Humans" bullshit - so feel free to use whichever character you wish.
So far, none of your team mates are annoying, although they do seem to have a habit of running out into the middle of a firefight when you've actually instructed them to take cover.
Graphically - the game looks exactly like ME1 with a bit of polish, but they are most definitely using the same engine (obviously). The same graphically wonkiness that plagued my overall enjoyment of Dragon Age's graphics, is here in ME2.

I don't know for sure but I would find it highly unlikely. Not everyone has XBL

hmm so the only forced choices they give you at the start are - Council dies and Kaidan or Asley will live ,depending on the sex of your hero you fall in love with that person that survived the nuke blast and Wrex dies
so you have to play ME1 if you want to have Wrex ,want as a love partner Dr.Tanati (or something like that) , better armor for geth if you give away that body of the Hindu wife, want bugs as a ally and have the alien council
so yeah first thoughts :
ITS A FRIKING TPS with reload and ammo for weapons

I am not into RPG's really (last one i enjoyed was deus ex), however I am tempted to try this. I love FPS games so will I enjoy this? I'm not into loads of reading, but do like a puzzle (e.g. zelda, metroid, etc).

Dragon Age and Mass Effect use different engines.

Not that the first game was too much of an RPG, but in this one they stripped the little that was in the first. As said by Spiderman, this is a TPS like Gears of War, possibly with a bit better story.

Were there any in the first game?
Also remember, this is a much more mature version of UE3, after what, 2 years more or less in development? So improvements are expected not only in performance but also in graphics quality.

Damn the actual graphics are very similar, shame you cannot pan out for combat like in the pc version (allowing for far superior tactical options)

it only asks for disc 2 at a certain point in the game and not like Forza when you start the game.
