works fine and it doesn't freeze on the profile screen , its just loading ... blame bioshit for adding a lame 15 sec bink to hide a 50 sec load ... oh right console turds don't have the patience to wait .. right
oh and the load times are horrible when you die ... when you play it normally, well by normal i mean explore the linear world now each load is like 10 sec top ... but when you die in a action sequence oh boy ... it loads the whole map and that takes like 25 - 45 sec and thats playing from HDD
could my image have been incomplete or damaged. and still burn correctly without cloncd telling me?
Potentially yes.
I would re-quickpar the rar files just to be doubly sure, re-extract them using winrar and burn using ImgBurn on a 2.4x speed (or the lowest the discs allow, perhaps 4x).
I used to get qwirky bugs with clonecd, quite frankly, its a shitty bit of software. Imgburn FTW.
Oh, and don't let grabit auto extract. If anything does arise, you'll want to see ALL errors and warnings. Use winrar instead.
@spiderman
how can the load times bother you if you have enough time on your hand to post a video of load times on youtube.
I mean omg a VIDEO OF LOAD TIMES wtf?
I like
- Game looks great! Loved Afterlife at Omega for example, it's really awesome.
- The soundtrack, wich like ME1, is epic
- Voice actors are still great
- The overall mood of the game, it really is a fucking awesome space adventure
Dislikes: All the removed RPG-elements! Especially the XP/upgrades. Why the hell remove over half of them from ME1?!
As Hfric said, the inventory. There is none. And that blows. Managing weapons isnt fun anymore. I loved the weapon selecting and handling from ME1 - choose different weapons based on stats, then fine tune them with ammo - great idea and it worked great. Now its just.. random weapon in a given category. Then you upgrade all weapons in individual categories with upgrades. It's way less fun than in ME1 :/
And the thing that bothers me the most - cover system? So let me get this straight, you can't switch weapons or reload when taking cover? Atleast not low/kneeling cover! So during a heavy firefight, my weapon runs out of ammo and i have to switch to another one. OH WELL let me just stand up and draw all the fucking gunfire and attention to myself while i put my gun away and take out a new one. Oh, i need to reload this gun too, so I do, and can't take cover while i'm doing that. Greaaaat. And why have they downgraded all the weapons in the universe? in ME1, you only had to pay attention to heat buildup - not ammo! Now a gun can be rendered useless if yourun out of ammo..
Don't get me wrong, I like the game, I really do, but it could've been soooo much better IMO. And im not rating the game, i got so many hours left so anything can happen

There is still leveling, up to 30 this time. But its alot more shooter than RPG this time.
Yeah, compared to ME1 the statistics are minimized. At the beginning, for soldier, there are 5, 4 of which is ammo types (yes - incendiary ammo is a skill).
Graphicwise it looks much better than part one. After about an hour of gameplay the impression is "Gears of War with dialogues". It is not a bad thing, but RPG fans will be disappointed. Actually, ME1 was not much of an RPG either (but the shooting was worse than in ME2).
So, a shooter with good (so far) story... I don't thing it'll make GOTY.
@sin:
While I agree (apart from the flaws in the cover system, haven't paid attention to it, will do so this afternoon when I get to play some more), the one thing I like better (compared to ME1) is the ammo system. I never really could handle the ammo in ME1. I would be changing the ammo all the freaking time. What Geth? Ammo with + against Synth. Humans? No problem, I got ammo for that...
I do realize they really dumbed down the RPG part of ME2 and don't get me wrong I love RPGs, still love Planescape Torment (although I still haven't finished it :/ ) sometimes hours of comparing equipment, fiddling around with your weapons and armor for hours without end can get on my nerve.
Plus, from a RPG point of view, the fact of not having a inventory is actually more accurate than the Inventory of ME1. I mean, where the hell did they keep all that equipment all the time? Did they have like a whole trek of people carrying their equipment following them everywhere? O.o
I know I'm nitpicking but so far I love ME2 even though it's "streamlined" because it's fun, the story is fun and exploring the universe is fun so far (although I still struggle with the scanning planets part. It can't be right that I need 30 probes to deplete some planets O.o )
@Reklis as for inventory part, it's almost always like that. It's quite hard to make it realistic. Take Niko Bellic, for instance - he walks about city with an rpg and sniper rifle tucked under suit.
Indeed, the game is still a videogame, so the inventory part would never bother me anyway.
Buit the words "dumbed down" really feels appropriate here. Less skills to develop, less managing of weapons etc.. It's sad, but it doesn't mean the game isn't great. Gonna spend atleast another 4-5 hours with the game after work tonight, so hopefully the game will just improve

But but... what should I use my credits on as a soldier?
I can't yet research, so I figured I could spend some in a upgrade shop... If I find one -.- But then again is it worth it?
It definitely been simplified with more focus placed on action than the first Anyway, what is one to do but keep playing. Its still mass effect I suppose
I hate they removed the RPG-elements.
But.. love the game..
I think that about sums up the game.
One dislike I like to add:
NONE SKIPPABLE INTRO ARGH!!!!!
Because the tech/biotic skills have been messed up so much (being dumbed down), I want to check how the different classes play out.
Before I can begin however, one big cinematic fest .
Times all the classes (6) means you better have other stuff to do in the meantime.
Also :
I think I can speak for everyone here that having the restart mission option as default load instead of the last (auto)save is FUCKTARDED.
The guy that coded it should be fired on the spot.

basically it comes down to these 3 :
Incendiary (Armor/Health) , Cryo (Freezes) or Disruptive (Shields/Mechs).
All the classes have 1 or more options of using those types of dmg remotely.
Example : My cool throwing mines have now been dumbed down to a weird power looking homing missile that "poofs" when hitting a wall (Infiltrator).
Basically there is no class that can't throw something remotely (grenade like).
Another annoyance: (dropped) ammo is very easy to miss and you run out.. FAST.
I recommend a biotic/tech heavy main character, so you can use powers (that dont run out) as primary and guns secondary.
You can't spec guns anyway and a heavy pistol are good enough in a pinch (while your powers are reloading).
i play like that , bionic with Push ,Pull,Combat teleportation and Shock ability that has Incernery and freeze ammo and a class perk that gives him health bonus ... he uses a Grenade launcher , Machine-gun , Heavy-gun and Shotgun
but yeah i miss my hand grenades and mines
and yeah it is really a announce when in a heavy fight you have to run for ammo , i mean come on its Teh Future and you are telling me they still use projectile weapons with ammo ???!!! what happed to the weapons that where powered by Element zero ... oh yeah Overload was such a nuisance they returned to ammo ...
