probably bioware have second thoughts now about releasing ME3 at the same time on consoles/pc, after this one was leaked 5-8 days before official date

QUESTION: I jsut saw a xfire video:

http://www.xfire.com/cms/xf_xfss_me2/

The dev actually DOES pan and zoom around himself and someone suggests you zoom out using the mouse wheel however for me the mouse wheel switches weapons, please advise.

I have a phylosophical question for you guys:

Should I try to finish ME1 at uberspeed and pass to ME2 asap, or is it better to peacefully enjoy the first one and then play ME2 someday in the near future?

If third game follows the same patter, it will be using the Future of Gaming control scheme (see sig) by the time it comes out. If that is the case, they can keep it off PC.

The latter. ME2 so far is like Conviction of Splinter Cell, mindless action (and good at that) but not the game it once was.

Play ME1 first. Don't rush it, just play it as you would normally play it. It's still awesome game and the fact that you could jump right away into part two just after completing ME1 is awesome bonus.

There are no open areas. Sad

There are no open areas as in no buggy world missions? Or as in no non combat, quest accepting, city-base exploring areas?

I dont know why you all complain about the action, I never actually used the pause on ME1 even on max diffiiculty, wasn´t really needed as in other rpg like dao. I know the comparison with dao is ridiculous, but that´s the point, you can´t compare ME1 or ME2 to an actual RPG cause ME barely has RPG elements -apart from the simplistic inventory and dialogs.

It´s a good thing they went R6 Vegas way with the action, too bad about the inventory and loot. Despite the changes -some may like it, some dont- it´s still a great action rpg.

At this point, I don't think the center of complains falls on the action and removal of a lot of features, but on the whole game being disappointing. For me at least. Smile

Well... it´s the same sad story that happened Bioshock and Rainbow Six: Vegas. The first was gonna be the spiritual successor of system shock and the second a new chapter for R6 series. Instead, both ended up being average games (in terms of gameplay) but amazing in terms of quality. We all are a bit disappointed about that the "consolization" that consumes PC games into the process but there´s nothing we can do about it. Take it or leave it, and right now I´m back to me2 lawl. I´m not a fan of RPGs like DAO, but I loved ME1 and I´m by all means enjoying ME2.

Played for an hour or so. Good game, don't like how they removed/dumbed down every single RPG element.

It's like Invisible War all over again, isn't it?!! Pfft. I think some perspective is in order.

If ME1 was the pinnacle of in-depth RPG design I could totally understand the criticisms. However, it was a dumb console game (albeit a great one) - yeah, it's even dumber now, but as far as I can see, it's not missing anything that made ME1 great. On the contrary, the places I've visted so far are vastly more interesting (not to mention atmospheric) than the locations in ME1 and dialogue is even more interactive and engaging.

ok, I have figured out that you can pan around but only from your characters pov.
Basically you hold the right mouse button down while in COMMAND MODE.

According to the new xfire video you can also adjust the size of your targeting reticle AND zoom out and pan around the battlefield but I have yet to figure out how..................

Played it for a little bit, but the camera sensitivity is getting on my nerves, big time.

Set to the lowest setting in-game, mouse is set to just 1000 DPI and in Windows it's set to 3/11. And still, moving it 2cm fairly slowly does a friggin 180 turn at the speed of light. Here's the kicker though: in command mode or menus, the 1000 DPI setting combined with the low Windows setting is actually as slow as it should be? I've got a G500, so maximum DPI would be 5700 - works fine in games with proper mouse support. Clearly it was too much effort to spend some time on getting it done in this, yay for EA!

Need to find a hack around this, must be some config setting to change, although I haven't found it yet. Can't be bothered playing it with my Rumblepad tbh >_<
