Worthplaying has details on Lawman, a wild west-themed first-person shooter currently in development at Polish developer Techland. There is no release date for the Chrome-engine project, but they do have some screenshots, which are available with no watermarks on 3D Gamers. Here's the description: "The player takes role of a gunfighter who travels around the Western part of the North American continent. He faces the most dangerous scum of the Western frontier in furious duels. With fast shooting and smart moves he has to be better than his enemies. To do so, he has to master pistols, guns, shotguns and become the fastest of all."
Maybe the new outlaw?
in my mind outlaws is still the only good western game so far
i felt call of juarez didn't at all FEEL like a western
it felt more like neo was running a western simulation in the matrix or something
western isn't supposed to be "cool".. it's supposed to be dry and rusted
i think the 1866 mod for mount&blade is good fun though
fun having large scale battles with indians, or having a gunfight in a town with an army of bandits
but the mod is in it's infancy so there's not much to do yet but war and hunting outlaws
also the gun balance is way off so you're better off just using revolvers until you get enough cash for repeating rifles
