Well beta bits are plainly obvious..."PC_NEXT_ITEM" and all. It actually feels more like alpha, although i am probably spoiled by recent stable "betas" that were more like RCs.

It's a battlefield thing. Weapons have always been a bit weaker than usual where it takes a few bullets to kill someone. If you're used to CoD it'll feel weird, I know. But without lag it won't feel as annoying. Besides, I think later on you'll get weapons that do way more damage. |
Aim for the head, problem solved.

its what EA call a beta to make people go "oo im in the beta.. ooo if i pre order the game i get a beta key"
This game has the WORST server browser in the history of games

Jesus Christ the lag is unbearable. I basically just crouch behind some bushes until a joinwave is over. I see the potential but this just is not fun.

So the lagg is due the raping of the EA serves at the moment!!
So take a chill pill guys they will solve the lag issue so we can enjoy this great game :=)

very poor optimization...core2 3.2 + 260gtx 1280*1024+high = 30fps max... ugly search browser and lag everywhere(not weak weapons but lag)...and ofcourse this terrible blur!! but! the soul of battlefield is flying somewhere here! i liked gameplay for these some terrible minutes i ve been playing! think it become very funny and hope more-more stable

Turn off that BAO option, it did wonders for my FPS.

HBAO in options..its the ambient occlusion thing..eats up any GPU out there, although I think this particular is an Nvidia thing, or not..Ati has this too I think.

They've said even before the beta started that the server browser in the beta would lack some features that will be in the full game. |

To change DX version, you need to open the config file in documents directory BFBC2Beta/settings.ini and change the DxVerion to 9.
